Default Happy St. Pa... Pa... Paa... I know this

I know today is a holiday of some sort, but alas it's 10:45 am and I'm too drunk off green beer and whisky to remember what one it is

Merry Holiday everybody!
Slàinte mhath!

Starting the green beer drinking at the Ship today around lunch. If anyone wants to come down we should have a table or two.

I quit drinking for the month of March, forgetting that this day was right in the middle of it. Today will suck!

As if I needed an excuse to wear my Riders shirt to work.

Also, being both Irish and Italian:

Go Green!

Take that.

Ahh St. Patty's day, the one day I can wear my Green Lantern shirt without being called a virgin, nerd, or asked if it is a Lord of the Rings shirt..

I've never liked St. Patricks Day.

Something about "Scottish pubs" and Ireland don't really mix, IMO.

Why dye Molson Canadian green and pretend it's special? Do you get drunk more quickly? Plus, somehow the green food colouring makes it taste even worse.

Pinch me and die. Although, I will wear green so people don't invade my personal space. Keep your greasy fat fingers off me.

I know a lot of people really get into it, but I don't, and I just want to poop on their parade.

Oh, and I also hate busy bars. What's the point of going if you can't hang and shoot the breeze with your friends!?

Edit: One of my best buddys is of Irish heritage, and I don't mean disrespect. I just think it's ridiculous how non-Irish get so into it.

I'll get into any day that makes it socially acceptable to be hammered at 1 in the afternoon.

I've quickly thrown together a bit of a playlist for those wanting to get into the celtic spirit

What's up with people saying "I don't like Guinness, I don't like having to chew my beer"? Like stupid Terry Demonte on Q107 this morning "I compare drinking Guinness to eating a bowl of oatmeal or eating chocolate cake". WTF guy?

Guinness is one of the smoothest, easiest to drink beers (mostly because it isn't carbonated). I love drinking Guinness, in mass quantities too!

Rant off.

Meh, I just think its a really fun day. My last name's Irish so that's my excuse, but I just like it because its a fun s***show day. That and I think Irish drinking tunes are BY FAR the best music to get sauced to, they just make me wanna hammer back the beers. That and poo'ing green the next day is way too funny.

Should be at the pub within the next 3hrs or so, can't wait! The greatest day o' the year

As a person who loves St. Pats and is of half Irish decent, I've tried to convince myself I should like Guinness and have tried a few times, but I just can't get into it. It's just too dark for me, I don't like the flavour at all. It's too rich for me. I'm sure if you drink it enough you'd really get into it, but at least for me it seems to be an acquired taste.
