Frank got me the hand before Beer's.
Fricken 92 off suit in the BB, nobody raises so I check and flop two pair.
I hate it when that happens, because I never would have played POS hand any other time, then I get drawn out on and knocked out.

Pretty good tournament last night, I was running well but then lost my attention. Cashed big in another tournament though.
I don't think we have any more scheduled, but I've made RTTR and some others admins so that we can schedule things up.

I'll schedule some future Tourny's today.
Some idea's:
$10 buyin with 1500 in chips starting twice during the week on non-Flames game days 8pm mt
$20 plus $5 bounty 3000 in chips every Sunday starting at 8pm mt
what does everyone think?

Sure man, set a few up and we'll see what kind of turnout we get. 11 players last night was pretty good. Delgar, where have you been?

I like the idea of having starting stacks of 1500 during the week as well. I would play either way, if available, but I prefer 1500.

So here is what I have tentatively set-up, all tourny's in MST
Tuesday March 22 - 8pm $13.50 ($2.50 Bounty)
Thursday March 24 - 8pm $11
Sunday March 27 - 7pm $27 ($5.00 Bounty)
Tuesday March 29 - 8pm $11
Thursday March 31 - 8pm $11
All starting chip stacks are 1500 because honestly on small tourny's it shouldn't take 3 hours to play. The bolded tourny will be 3000 starting chip stack and an hour earlier start time.

I was in a meeting and my blackberry wouldn't shut up. It was kind of funny. I was standing and talking, left my blackberry back at my chair. I kept on joking to everyone to turn off their phones please. I got a couple chuckles.

Ended up making the top 3 at the Grey Eagle yesterday. We ended up chopping and then playing for the last 50 dollars. The guy who was in first made the offer because first place also came with a 200 dollar ticket to Saturdays tournament.
1st paid 700 + ticket
2nd paid 450
3rd paid 250
So it sounded like a solid deal to chop it and each get 450. The guy who was in first had at least double both our stacks, so although we could of had a chance at beating him, at least getting 450 instead of 250 was nice.
The guy who was in first ended up winning the extra 50, I finished second.
I made a dumb play and cost me 10K or so in tournament money.
I had pocket Aces, another guy had pocket Kings.
Flop came Ace, King, Rag. After the river came I bet, he raised and instead of going all in I just called. There was a straight draw on the board, but I should of re-raised him. Both of us thought we were trapping the other, it was nice to come out the winning side.
At the final table I folded pocket 6's, I should of limped..the flop came six six and something else..I would of flopped Quads. Someone hit a flush and there was lots of money on the table, I would of been paid off nicely.
Thankfully though I still made the money.

Congrats! If we all new what the cards were going to turn up we wouldn't be sitting at our day jobs now would we.
I've been actually playing some pretty decent poker lately both live and online and even though I haven't got the results I would like I've been getting my money in on the best situations and just getting sucked out on. In the end it's still gambling and that's the best anyone can hope for.
I actually enjoy reading everyday players, like myself, stories. Pick up a few things here and there.
Bad beat last night for me happened in a rebuy tourny lots of chips in play and huge prize pool. Sitting second in chips on the table top 10% of field and get dealt qq in bb. UTG raises 3 times bb and gets one caller. By this time blindes are 2500/5000 in a 3Xturbo so I push all in. Both players call and roll a-9 and a-j. Flop comes 10,10,10 turn is a Q and river comes a 10. leaves me severely crippled and i'm out 5 hands later.
