Simple human nature. Same reason why me and my buddies often take turns who pays for our morning coffee; just because it's nice to have a free coffee.
We all do other things too. I won't buy windshield washer fluid for $3 per jug; I wait until it's $2.25 or less then stock up. It's not that I can't afford it; just that it feels good to spend a little less.
I can't justify it; I just know it happens.

Where do you draw the line for significance? If an obese man needs to eat 1500 calories to lose weight to be healthy, and they are consuming two 300 calorie coffees a day (600 calories), that's 40% of their daily caloric intake right there. That's not significant? This isn't even an extreme example.

Honestly, it sounds like you have a problem with the coffee additives and not the coffee.
That being said, the calorie count for a large double double (probably the most common order) is staggering. I think that it is around 220 kcal per large.

Yes, that's fair to say. The bigger problem is in everything that comes with drinking coffee rather than the coffee itself. Assuming you're not overconsuming your black coffee, there shouldn't be a problem.
Interestingly, they have found coffee to actually have negligible diuretic effects. There is some research to suggest some negative effects but certainly more research is needed in the field.

Did you realize this is a thread on how you are doing on roll up the rim? No one cares about your holier than thou I don't drink coffee opinion. Go make a thread on why coffee is bad for you and stay out of this one.

1/1 coffee. Best thing I ever won on Roll up the Rim was a cordless phone back in the 91-92 (?) period.

I miss the original roll up commercial. You know, the one where the girl in the green shirt (with above average knockers) said "cccrrrrroll up the crim"? Ya, I miss it.

You don't remember the commercial with the chick with the knockers? You sure you're a girl?

What? That's probably why I didn't notice it?

Better to die happy with something one enjoys. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy more during the promo. Best I usually get each year is 1-2 free coffee or donut, nothing more.

I don't see how a few minutes of flavor a day is more enjoyable than living several years longer, morbidity-free. Not to mention that day-to-day life is a lot more enjoyable healthy and fit.

If you go 1/1 and win a coffee, but then lose with your free cup, what's your record?

If I was living longer while reading your posts, I'd opt for the coffee.

Everyone, lets just stop the bickering...this is really getting us nowhere...
All we need to know is that TheSutterDynasty is a better human than all of us who enjoy coffee, and i am 0/1..though i rarely drink tims...

Provided your free coffee was another game cup 1/2
that said there's nothing in getback's post to suggest he redeemed for another game up, or that he even won a coffee (could have been a donut, or car for that matter)
regardless, if you win a coffee and redeem your second cup counts against your total.
It's X/Y
X = total wins
Y = total plays
I'm now 0/3
