The difference being that in 2003-2004 the Flames were one of the best teams in the conference the entire year when Kipper was playing.
This year's team can't blame their Jekyll & Hyde season on one key player only playing part of the year.

3D broadcast was horrid. Panasonic fixed the apparent timing issues from the World Cup, but shooting through mucked up glass and stanchions really doesn't work.

I like the gifs, they make me laugh.
The best one so far though, was the one where the poster said "The Flames so far this season"....
...and then posted the gif where buddy falls down a flight of stairs, jumps up and keeps walking like nothing happened. haha that was pretty funny.

I am too lazy to read every post in this thread...but am I the only one who didn't really enjoy the hockey?
Don't get me wrong, I love the win...but the lack of speed, lack of hits, bouncing puck etc just slowed the game down and I didn't find it very exciting at all. Neat event...but not great hockey.

It's not the same hockey as you see on much better ice, but I loved how the Flames played, Kipper was outstanding, and the team in general played great.
I enjoyed every second of it.

Missed the whole thing cause of work so I'm watching it now on my DVR. I echo the sentiments about the broadcast quality by CBC, it is great. Boy is Calgary ever beautiful on those aerial shots.

Possibly dumb question - with 2 goals, how is Bourque only a +1 if no goals were scored by the opposition?
