Personally I think it takes alot of balls to come out and say it publically(if it comes from the right place). The world and especially the industry he is associated is filled with atheists who will always make fun of his statement on the outside because atheists always make fun of religion no matter what.
You know, I have to agree with you on this. Sure, his statement sounds crazy to a lot of people, but it's what he believes. I'm sure he understands that it will make him a target for ridicule, but he said it anyway. It's unfortunate that society is degenerating into something where it is more acceptable to ridicule the beliefs of others rather than possess any of your own.

Are you saying atheists don't believe in anything?
The diversion of the conversation to "The Devil Made Her Do It," while amusing on his part, probably glosses over the fact, as I stated before, she's more likely fairly ordinary at her age in exploring certain boundaries.
If she were "normal," most of her nocturnal activities wouldn't be inviting global commentary since she's hardly do anything so off the wall that you couldn't find it in any bar, saloon or dance hall on most Saturday nights by legions of her peers.
And extrapolating that into saying she's going to be a fat has-been 10 years from now is an equal stretch.
Settle down folks.
She's only 18 and feeling her oats. And her father is facing the same, normal anxieties, any of his own peers would probably feel in a similar situation.
All of this has happened before and all of this will happen again.
