Look for Montreal to announce the signing of former Green Bay Packer running back Ahman Green in March. Played in UFL last season.

Schedule expected to be released next week. GC rematch is expected to kick off season again. Probably in Mtl this time.
Also, BC Lions won't play a home game in BC Place until Sept 30th.

STAMPS SIGN RAMBO TO EXTENSION
Calgary Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel is pleased to announce that import receiver Ken-Yon Rambo has signed a contract extension with the club. As per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
“Ken-Yon was faced with an adverse injury, made a commitment to be back on the field for us, and played very well last season,” said Hufnagel. “He is an integral part of our offence and we look forward to having his play-making ability in the fold for the foreseeable future.”

Great to have Rambo back. He's a huge member of the team on field and in the locker room.

I hope Archibald and Anderson are next. We also need a new corner to replace Browner.

CHEVRIER RE-SIGNS WITH STAMPS
Monday, February 14, 2011 - 9:00 AM
Calgary Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel is pleased to announce that non-import long-snapper Randy Chevrier has re-signed with the club. Chevrier was scheduled to become a free agent on Feb. 16. As per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
“Randy has been the most accurate and consistent long-snapper in the league over his time in Calgary,” said Hufnagel. “He is a great utility guy for us who also learns both the offensive and defensive line positions and acts as an emergency fullback for us.”
Chevrier played in all 18 regular-season games and the West final with Calgary last season. Chevrier recorded five special-teams tackles and recovered a fumble. He also made one punt for 52 yards and returned a kickoff for four yards, both against Saskatchewan on Oct. 17. The product of McGill University also added a one-yard touchdown reception — the second of his career with Calgary — at Winnipeg on Nov. 5.
“I’m very excited to be back with Calgary for my seventh season,” said Chevrier. “It’s a privilege to play professional football and I’m glad I get to do so in Calgary, playing for an organization like the Stampeders. My family and I love this city and consider it our home. Over my time here, the team has had successes, such as winning the 2008 Grey Cup, but the past two seasons we’ve fallen short and I’m really looking forward to working with this great group to get back to where we want to be.”
Chevrier joined the Stamps as a free agent in 2005. He’s currently tied for Calgary’s longest ironman streak at 54 games and has suited up for 107 regular-season games and eight playoff tilts with the Red and White, including the 2008 Grey Cup championship victory. Over eight CFL seasons, he has played in 130 regular-season contests and 12 playoff games, including another Grey Cup victory with Edmonton in 2003.
A native of Montreal, Que., Randy, his wife Tania and their two sons Luke and Brett live in Calgary year-round. Chevrier is active in the community and is the club’s representative with the Every Yard Counts program with the Alberta Children’s Hospital.

I believe Huff said it earlier today. It will be tough to bring DA back or something similar to that.

Its in the linked article as well...
“It was evident that, with the loss of Brandon Browner and the unlikelihood of signing Dwight Anderson, we lost some play-making ability on our football team,” said Hufnagel.

Stamps also will not re-sign OL Ben Archibald due to salary-cap restraints. Outst. Lineman winner will be a free agent #CFL #calstampeders

yea I read that, I was curious as to what the unlikelihood meant...signing elsewhere? doesn't want to come back? etc.

CFL Free Agency...whos in play?
http://www.sportsnet.ca/football/cfl...o_free_agency/
Dwight Anderson: The trash-talking cornerback with Calgary is looking to make a score for the first time as a free agent with some stats. Word is he's almost certainly going to Hamilton, where he's played before and was wildly immature, but would be reunited with new Ticats' defensive co-ordinator Corey Chamblin. Anderson is wayyyyyy out there but the Ticats need all kinds of work in the back end, and he'd at least rev up the fans.
