Default How was your 2010?

Simple question. How was the year 2010 for you? Was it a good year or are you happy its over.

2010 was a great year for me. I didn't really want to ring in the new year. I spent 3 months working in an orphanage in Ghana, and met some of the most amazing people people. Took care of some of the cutest, lovable little girls in the orphanage, and I miss them terribly every day. I miss being in Ghana so much and plan on making my way back there this year.

The olympics also made the year great. And, since I couldn't be in Vancouver for the olympics being in Ghana during the entire World Cup, even though I don't like soccer at all, was awesome. Even with that heartbreaking loss to Uraguay.

Oh, and the Riders had a pretty good year with a 2nd straigh appearance in the Grey Cup (unfortunatly 2nd straight loss)

So, how was your 2010?

Good riddance.

I waste of a year with no forward progress in my life, other than being a year older.

For me it was one of the best years in my recollection. My mothers health was questionable last year, and has rebounded quite nicely in 2010. The Olympics were awesome. I gained sobriety this year and have been able to make amends with some old friends. I gained some unneeded weight, but I am more optimistic than ever before that I have to power to change that as well.

It was a very good year, and I am a little reluctant to see it go. That isn't to say that I am not excited for everything that is possible in 2011.

2010 was a pretty good year for me, so I can't complain. On a personal level, I got engaged, and career wise I set out on my own and had a great year financially. 2011 should definitely be an interesting one as I have some bigger milestones/events coming up.

It was a crappy year for me. Lost a close friend to breast cancer in August and still struggle with that loss. Failed to break 90 this past year while playing golf.

Good to hear that. My uncle struggled for many years to gain sobriety.

A mostly down year, that's been getting better since about the end of October.

I'm hoping to keep my momentum up into 2011 as I have a new position (Tech advisor for my community association as well as serving on the board) as well as putting the finishing touches on my house, only a couple rooms worth of crown molding to put up and rip out the kitchen. Hoping to have all that done by April or so.

Here's hoping that 2011 is a good year for everyone.

We had a pretty good year. My son made the 'elite' basketball travel team in 7th grade and he also won MVP at a very prestigious football camp, and has been asked to attend a private high school (for football). My youngest son made the hockey team he tried out for. Work was profitable and we consider ourselves very fortunate, especially compared to so many others. We also went on three very nice vacations.

I have many good friends and a wonderful family. Life is good.

On the plus side, I got a new job. I desperately needed to get out of the other place I was working. It was just toxic and I was miserable to the point where I felt sick going in every day. Feel so much better in the new place and it's working out really well so far. Better situation, better people.

On the negative side, my beloved dog was put down in August. It was a devastating loss for me, still hurts quite a bit. I find it tough to be around dogs. I cringe when I see someone out walking their dog. I miss her a lot.

Overall, pretty balanced year, some great ups, some horrible downs. Looking for better in 2011.

This was a pretty good and bad year. I paid off my student loan which is great to get rid off and we had a great family vacation with a drive to California.

The bad part was my Dad passing away, I still miss him.

2010 was great for me. Managed to take 60 flights this year. Went to a new country, and met a bunch of new people. Saved alot of money, paid off debt, paid off a car. Got into a steady relationship, went to the olymipcs (Finland/USA mens hockey semi final). Ended the year with a trip to Hawaii.

My year was good overall. The highlight for me was winning a trip to the Olympics, but I also had some great times with family and friends.
