I had a great view of the eclipse from down by the Rothney Observatory SW of Calgary. People were stopped all along the 22x to get a good view.

It was awesome out in Camrose. Had a nice spot just outside town on a gravel road and got a really good look at it.

Well I did set the alarm for this.

I tried out the new camera last night with the Lunar Eclipse. My tripod can barely handle the weight of the 70-300 lens and like an idiot I forgot to change the ISO from Auto to my own low setting. So most of my pictures got put through at 3200. Here are the couple I could tolerate:

Nice pics BigTime and nice camera too!

I'm in Calgary and took a few pictures of it last night too. Unfortunately for me, it was clouded over pretty much the entire time it was a "total eclipse". I only have a 250mm zoom too but here are a couple I took.

Pretty cool to witness, even though I froze my butt off.

Two thirds gone.

Very nice shots, I was having a hard time keeping the blur to a minimum when I was right out at 300mm. Definitely need a new tripod that can handle the lens.
