The Darwin exhibition offers an engaging and enlightening exploration of the extraordinary life and mind of Charles Darwin whose curiosity, observations and discoveries nearly 150 years ago forever changed the perception of the origin and nature of our own species as well as the myriad of other species on this planet and launched modern biological science.

I was concerned it was going to be a little simple for two adults?

Hey good idea Troutman! I'm going to build a giant Darwin and program it to crush creationists beneath its case-hardened steel feet whilst it screams "I'm giving human evolution a helping hand!" Who wouldn't pay to see that!
PS - I don't actually know how to build a giant Darwin, nor would financing be easy to come by. Still, to be safe, you'd better stay indoors.

I'd say it's probably appropriate for older children, teens, and adults. Adults who already have a strong background in science probably won't learn a whole lot new on the science end, but there's also a lot about the lives of Darwin and Einstein that is pretty interesting. Younger children probably won't appreciate much of it, aside from the animal models, fossils, and a couple of activities in the Einstein exhibit.

LOL no.
Just a punster.
Anyways, the impression I get is that Ken Ham's real God is P.T. Barnum.

I think this is pretty accurate, but a good case could also be made for capitalism or Uncle Sam as candidates for Ken Ham's "god". He—along with other fundamentalists and theologically ultra-conservative Evangelicals—tends to maintain a hermeneutic whereby their reading of the Bible will always conform to a politically/socially conservative perspective of American politics. In their estimation, the United States is the new "Promised Land", and American idealism the new messiah.

Looks like they're including a Nascar track.(lower right)

I can't say I'm surprised, but still a little tacky, IMO.

I think that that is the front driveway. Based on the picture, it looks as if they are building a massive amphitheatre.
I always find literalist's treatment of the Tower of Babel highly perplexing. Even here, the true believer's have depicted a structure of fairly modest size. Given their understanding of God as the creator and sustainer of the whole Universe (Think about that for a moment); given the the exponential expansion of knowledge, structural engineering, and architecture that has produced such marvels as the Tour de Eiffel, the Empire State Building, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Panama Canal, Kölner Dome, etc. does this little ediface not seem like much-a-do-about-nothing? The depicted building does not exactly conform to the picture of God's alarm in Gen 11:6 that "nothing that they purpose to do will now be impossible for them".

Lol, there's a comedy sketch in there somewhere.
Able to detect EM radiation from the beginning of the universe? Meh.
Smash together atoms and create energies and states of matter not seen even in the hearts of stars? *yawn*
Send probes out to the extent of the solar system itself? What's for lunch?
Plumb the quantum depths of reality itself and expose the indeterminacy and fuzziness behind the supposed solid nature of reality? What time's the game?
Unravel and map the processes of life itself. Zzzz...
Build a short tower. OH NO YOU DIN'T!!

Ark stuff
A thought crossed my mind after reading this....IF they have all this money to build a "replica scale ark", why not just help all the people that have been hurt by America's recession?
I wonder if they are going to round up all the animals 2x2 or 7x7 and make this into a giant zoo as well?
Ark Encounter LLC?
