Countries aren't just voting on the issue. Voting a certain way is used as political currency.

Oh look, all the dirt farming and corrupt countries don't believe in equality. Big surprise!
I recall when Amadinijad was speaking at NYU, and said Iran had no homosexuals. His statement was greeted with gales of laughter. Which is exactly how it needed to be responded to. So ludicrous as to be funny. It's just a shame so many people in the world are so far behind progressive society - I tend to blame religion for the most part. Not sure what's up with a formerly secular country like Russia - other than they've always seemed like a lunatic fringe to me.
Funny guy - sorry it's a cached version

Russia just likes to be a dick, they always seem to vote the way which would piss off the west the most.

So will 'Kill a Gay Day' fall before or after 'Kick a Ginger Day' on the calendar?

Language evolves, but Grammar Nazis oppose evolution. People have evolved from other organisms. Without evolution, people wouldn't exist. Since it is illogical for all Grammar Nazis to be opposed to their own existence, Grammar Nazis must therefore not be people!
