Ok, he's still suspended, does this mean he's offically done for the year? Or is this week coming up the final week of his suspension? I'm still confused.

When does the appeal come?
Does anyone know who the arbitrator heard from in specific? I heard Any Reid made some comments that if the public and media really knew what went on, they wouldn't be questioning this as much as some were.
Terrell should be a boxer or golfer or something because it's clear he can't be part of a team.

Arbitrator Richard Bloch wrote that the Eagles clearly proved that the suspension was justified, and were within their right to pay their All-Pro receiver but not allow him to return "due to the nature of his conduct and its destructive and continuing threat to the team."
Bloch heard more than 13 hours of testimony last week. Owens' side argued the penalty is excessive and the Eagles' decision to deactivate him is too severe. Owens wanted to be reinstated to the Eagles or released so he can sign with another team.

Shocking?
I think not, lots of people were expecting a ground-breaking decision by Bloch.
But just what I expected to happen, happened.

ESPN has the complete text of the arbitrator's ruling: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2234819
It's a long, but very interesting and detailed read. The arbitrator had to answer two questions -- was the four-game without-pay suspension warranted and should the Eagles be allowed to deactivate (with pay) Owens after the suspension. I think the evidence overwhelmingly supports Bloch's decision.

thx for the link Aaron.
What an unbelievably arrogant and stupid man.
Terrell" "I'm going to do everything in my power to disrupt this team unless you renegotiate my contract."
Andy Reid "If you do this, we'll suspend you."
Ignoring REPEATED warnings, Owens was finally given the boot and now whines about it? Get bent.

If his intent was to negotiate a better value deal, then I would say he's likely negotiated himself into a position where the next one he signs will offer virtually nothing up front and and be so full of contigencies that he won't be able to take a crap without getting permission.

Yep. And if the contract isn't set up that way, whomever offers it to him is getting exactly what they deserve.
I wonder how many Rosenhaus clients are shopping for new agents.

So let's ask the question again - where does he end up? In my view only a team that is desperate to make an off-season splash brings this guy in. So who are we looking at here in terms of candidates? Cardinals? Browns? Vikes? Of course Atlanta was a rumored destination too but I don't see that happening.

Cardinals do not need him.
Browns? Well that could potentially work, but I don't see Crennel ruining chemistry in the locker room.
Vikes? Again I doubt it, just got rid of Moss for ALLEGEDLY the same reasons.
ATL? Actually works, but then again, I can see TO going crazy aobut how Vick doesn't get him the ball.
I read an article that makes sense today....Cowboys....and organization that has had history with annoying receivers and where bad boys may seem to flourish. Keyshawn under Parcells....
But I guess time will only tell.

If Favre is there, then no way. But post-Favre, they might think about it.
Their GM Ted Thompson is a bit of an airhead, so if new management was brouhgt in combined with anew coach, that could be a possibility.
I don't know, for some reason I see the Falcons, the Jets, the Titans and the Cheifs as distinct possibilites.

It'll be interesting to see how this works out. I don't think many good teams will want TO because he'll disrupt the team chemistry. And I don't think TO will do very well on a crappy team cause he'll do nothing but complain.
I think it'd be pretty funny if he ended up in Atlanta.
Think of it, they'd have the best QB who doesn't know how to throw, throwing to the best receier who doesn't know how to catch.

But Owens knows how to catch doesn't he?
I've always stood by my one statement. This man is the best receiver in football, he affects defenses more so then Randy Moss. Now I've seen first hand, watching plenty of Viking games in the past, what Moss does to defenses. But I think that bar none TO is the best receiver in football. IF he could just change his attitude he would be one of the all time greats. Too bad that's never going to happen and that is what's going to be his downfall.
As much as it pains me to say it, teams will take him. And one team might try their hardest to make him happy in order to succeed. That's just the nature of the business. Philly failed in their effort to keep him happy while being on a contending team. It will be interesting to see what kind of theory a team will try next.
