When manning gets his feet all hopping in the pocket you just know he's abotu to find someone.

yup it's peyton manning! Even at 31-14 I was still worried. And then the Patriots forgot how to make a first down and it got worse!

I didnt think the Pats would be as good as they are this year. I knew that we would be ok offensively, but was concerned about defence.
Looks like they have all bought into BBs system now and if they somehow manage to beat the NYJ in a few games could get a big boost in confidence.
BB has got to be one of the best coaches ever to coach in this league.

I think Hobbs hurt his neck. He went helmet to helmet and looked like his head got "pushed" into his body like his neck was a spring and squished together.

Hopefully he'll be ok.

Hopes for what? The Vikings have no hope. Brett Favre in the post-game press conference said he needed to go home and re-evaluate and wouldn't commit to playing the rest of the season. Who the hell needs that on a team that is about to go for a rebuild? Let Jackson play out the season, then go after a free agent qb or a 1st rounder. Favre has nothing to offer now except being a distraction. Childress, too.

No he didn't.

That was taken completely out of context..and in fact became a laugh among the press when the follow up was asked.

"I'm just gonna try to go home, as tough as it may be, digest what has happened, not only today but in the last few weeks, come in tomorrow and kind of re-evaulate things,"

"I'd like to finish the season differently than today," Favre said. "There's still some hope. I don't want to sit here and tell you I'd love to finish the season and then go out and lose 31-3. I want us to somehow turn this around. We, us, this team, we all have to play better, me included. I don't want to finish it the way we've played up to this point."
That being said, I wouldn't blame him a bit for calling it quits. Most of his team seems to have done that already. He is hurt, not effective and still has the whole investigation hanging over him. Not a good time for him in any aspect of things.

Ok, but I still stand by my statement that he adds nothing to the Vikings this point on, but to be a distraction. Does he still give them the best chance to win? Yes. Does that matter? No. And I know you aren't saying that, but the team needs to look to a future without Childress and Favre, and why wait?

This is perfect if this holds up. Giants are mad and then get pissed for their game next week vs Jacksonville and beat them bad.

It's been a pretty good game so far. Hopefully the Eagles defense can get a stop here.

What a terrible challenge. Giants need all 3 timeouts.

I probably would have punted on 4th down. Hope to get some field position and use the timeouts while you have the Eagles deep in their own zone.

So Vince Young shows once again he is the picture of stability.

Quote:
When the team gathered in the locker room following the loss, Young began muttering and cursing under his breath as Fisher addressed the team, the Tennessean reported Sunday night.

After Fisher asked Young to be quiet, the paper said, the quarterback finished dressing and prepared to leave the room. Fisher told Young to stop and not to "run out on your teammates," sources told The Tennessean. Young told Fisher, "I'm not running out on my teammates, I'm running out on you," the paper said.
Yeah...Jeff Fisher doesn't know what he is doing at all Vince, he doesn't have a grasp on what is better for the whole team. WHat a frikkin prima donna.

This i agree with. I doubt that Wilf will send both packing though...he will have to pay both of them either way as favres contract is guarenteed and Childress just signed an extension last year. IIRC it is over 7 million for Favre and over 5 for BC to get bought out. Thats a lot of money to not have in the locker room every weekend.

If Favre retires then it will be easier to cut Chilly, but i have a feeling only one is gone at this point and that will be Childress.

Stat of the week...

The NFC West went 0-4 yesterday. Thats the second time this year the whole division went winless.

Its the first time since the NFL split to 8 divisions that an entire division has gone winless twice on the same day in the same year.

If you extrapolate it out, 7-9 could win that division though one team is likely to finish 8-8.

Brutal.

I think the problem in Tennesee is 50/50. Yes Vince is too sensitive, needs to man up and grow up but lets look at Fisher as well. It's well known that Fisher never wanted to draft Young and that Young has never been Fisher's guy from day one. He sunk their season last year by sticking with Collins who he kept as starter to spite Young for far too long only putting Young in when Bud Adams suggested it and the team was lights out after. Young doesn't trust Fisher and IMO the head coach needs to develope a level of trust with the franchise QB. These Shanahan/Fisher mindgames don't work with QB's as you need to know how to massage the egos of these guys. The Andy Reid approach is the one you have to take and that's to back your QB and be behind him. It's pretty obvious Fisher has never had Vince Young's back. Fisher's approach with Young has always been a recipe for failure and right now it's going to sink the team.
