trailer is good, the CG looks a bit cheesy/fake though. Tons of hot girls though which is refreshing after Spider-Man and Dark Knight and Superman Returns.

Thank god the Joker blew her to bits. I was actually happy in that moment which completely ruined the emotional point of the director.

I'm still not in love with the CGI suit.

looks like a good show. yah the CG looked a little rough but it thought that ryan reynolds, with the mask, really started to look like one of the green lanterns from the 70s.

The CG suit looks so bad it looks like somebody hand drew a cartoon suit on top of him.

Did he actually lose like 30 pounds when he transformed? The 3D modeler for the suit version seems to have taken a few liberties. He looks anorexic in the before and after shots.
Avatar this isn't.
I'm sure it will still be a fun movie.

Keep in mind guys the CGI isn't done yet, the movie isn't done yet. The first trailer for Superman Returns had his cape looking like a piece of cardboard.. it will be more rounded by June.
Whats that? Watch the trailer again? Sure why not..

I have a feeling that Mark Strong's performance as Sinestro will save this film..

agreed with Green Lantern. This is a big budget movie, there's no way the finished product won't have state-of-the-art special effects. Looks pretty sweet IMO

Ryan Reynolds is good enough to not make this movie suck.

That looked pretty bad.
Forgive me for being unfamiliar with the comic, but that set-up is pretty ######ed. It's like comic book movies have used all their good/interesting source material and are now resorting to the dumb, more comic-book like stuff.
"Cocky fighter jet pilot gets recruited by aliens to a group of universe defenders that wear green suits and rings that give them god-like powers!"
"Norse god gets exiled to earth and must prove his worth by defeating evil with his giant lightning hammer!"
Yeah, it works in a comic book world, but this looks horrendously cheesy presented as a serious, big budget movie. Add in that the effects were awful, and it tried way too hard to be funny, didn't explain anything that was actually going on... yeah, my expectations are pretty low for this one.
