...In my NHL2k5 franchise.

Anybody else buy this game yet? I have liked ESPNs gameplay for a few seasons now, but this edition is definetely head and shoulders above past efforts. I am really impressed so far.

It's taking me a little while to get used to it. In particular, I'm finding checking to be vastly different than last year.

I didn't like it as immediately as I did 2K4 (over 2K3) but I see myself growing into it with more play.

This game feels too rushed, especially after being completly impressed with NFL 2K5. The rosters aren't anywhere near completed, especially when I have to go in and put in Neon Dion. The announcing is horrible. And the "Skybox" feature is completly lame compaired to "Da Crib" in NFL.

I guess they had to put something on hold so that they could make NFL 2K5 better, but I think I will enjoy NHL 2005 much better when it finaly comes out. I just wished Sega would have spent a litte more time on the little things like an updated roster.

He wont be in NHL 2005 either since he hasnt played an NHL regular season game. You wont be able to add him either since there's no Create A Player feature in NHL 2005. The only way you're going to get him on the Flames is if there's a season this year and he plays a game and EA releases a roster update with him in it or if a roster editor is made for it and you edit an existing player into him.

There is no create a player? Man that's just crazy. This is the first time a hockey game (that I can remember) in years that one doesn't have this option.

I guess I wont be buying it.

They said they spent alot of time improving the gameplay this year and that the way they made the game they would have had to make a whole new Create a Player mode from scratch and they didnt have the time to do it so they scrapped the idea and will put it in NHL 2006. For me personally I barely used the Create a Player feature especially after they werent able to use the Import your Face feature anymore so I'm not too upset about it not being in this year.
