Thrashers with a good showing in a 4-2 win over the Maple Leafs. Outshot Toronto 38-28 and Ruutu gets the game winner. Thrashers are now 2-1-0 on the season.

Avs get their first win of the season against the Canucks who had their number all pre season. Nice to get some secondary scoring - the 3rd line was the reason for all 3 goals.

Anze Kopitar puts up a 4 point night and is summarily traded... what a GM.

Big win for the Pens on the road against the Rags. Cammy was solid with a 3 point effort and Ovechkin continues to light the lamp. Nabby shut the door once again. We have a couple days rest now before we take on the Leafs in Toronto on Wednesday.

Felt sorry for whooping the Jackets every time we play I gave them a pity victory.

Actually with Turco getting injected half way through the first we had no chance. Going back to the preseason I haven't lost a game with Turco playing and I haven't won a game with Boucher.

Prospal and Kessel continue to carry the team. It was a good effort as we outplayed the Jackets but goal tending was the downfall.

Nice win for the Bruins today, 5 unanswered goals to start the game. And a good mix of scoring from the three top lines. Most encouraging is the fact we didn't give up a single PP.

Niittymaki can win hockey games after all! Kopitar with a HUGE game but alas we still like Nash and are excited to see what he can do.

It"s nice to see Bourque and Weiss have big games as well.
