Great! Was scared id have to go through a whole process of registering. Will be voting for Barb because I recognize her from the news show with the moving pictures and such.
jk Nenshi
Also the feeling of satisfaction while puffing a cigarette sounds wonderful. I just might make a day out of this.

I looked at the website, and it seems to imply that it doesn't matter if my address on my DL is my old one. Does that seem right? Either way I could just use my AHC card I suppose.

She (Barb) is leading among people with no post-secondary education, while Nenshi grabbed the most respondents with university degrees.

This is great news for the Nenshi camp and the final push. Gives far more weight to the thought of alternative vote against McBarb.

I have to admit, although I'm living on the other side of the planet, I'm really excited to see how this is all going to play out. I don't think I've ever been this intrigued with municipal politics before.

When advised that the latest polls showed he was tied for second place and only 3% out of the lead, Nenshi was understandably shocked.
Seriously: can't the Calgary Herald find a better picture?

It's been known that Nenshi's been carrying a lot of momentum, but wow, he's peaking just at the right time. I thought he was running out of time to grow support, but with 6 days left he's in really good shape now.

^even the other two pictures are taken in mid-sentence. The only reason that you take pictures of someone when they are talking is to get them making a funny face or look ridiculous. The Herald took head shots of everyone at nomination day, so why they are using these is beyond me.

Lol. It looks like Ric is singing at church, Naheed is getting a prostate exam, and Barb is scolding the two of them.

Right now, I think that Ric doesn't have much chance of winning (to my dismay). His % support hasn't changed much since the start of the election campaign, while Higgins and Nenshi have slowly gained the support at the expense of the other candidates and would easily surpass him in the last week.

Agreed, I think the second biggest talk around town on Tuesday will be how he managed to not win with 3 years of soundbites and quotes and a war chest of almost a million dollars.

Switch to Nenshi. Deep down, you know you want to.

If I was a McIver supporter right now, I'd be a bit concerned that if McIver can't run a campaign, how is he going to run a city. It's become fairly obvious that the man is incompetent.

Its going to be close. I wouldn't count him out yet, especially with a few polls still showing him in the lead.
