USCe scores to make it 28-14. LaMichael James catches a 84 yard pass to make it 15-14 ducks after Barner was messed up on a kick return.

Pretty impessive stuff from Spurriers Gamecocks. A well coached team is what i am seeing today...and i dont like the guy a bit.
How about Mich. St. going into Ann Arbor and schooling Michigan. Wonderful to see.
IMO there are only 3 real teams in the Big 10 in OSU, Mich. St. and Iowa. Penn St got schooled at home by an inferior oppnent today.
Good stuff all over the place and even Wazzu is hanging with Ore. early...though that will blow up soon enough I suspect.

I knew this was going to be a rough game for Bama. A good team at home with an extra week to prepare. Ugh. Normally one loss with their schedule this year could still get them to the Championship game, but I think there's going to be a bunch of undefeated's this year. So if they can't pull it out this game, that looks like the end.

I think Saban just out-coached himself with that call...just goofy as Danielson pointed out even if he hangs onto the ball he would have been yds short with SC guys all over him.

I don't think South Carolina going for an inch on their own 35 is a good idea.

After the gamble that turned into a great drive! 35-21 now!

A great win for SC if they hang on, no question about it. I just think they will lose a game along the way they should win...Arkansas, Florida and Clemson all still ahead for them

Big win for South Carolina, but the most impressive thing about it was that they won big despite some major blunders that looked like they were going to cost them.
The safety to start the 2nd half was huge ,the dropped ball INT that eventually led to the Bama fake field goal attempt could've killed them (especially since it should have been a big 1st down catch), and that 50-yard TD pass off blown coverage was a big momentum swing as well.
Alabama got flat out outplayed by a wide margin today. It could have been a blowout had SC played mistake free. I'd say that has to count for a lot in the rankings - Alabama looked untouchable and that they'd only lose if they beat themselves. Clearly this isn't the case and they lost by two TDs.

I'm sure Bama is going to get raped in the rankings, but a loss against a good team with two weeks prep in their stadium should soften the drop. But I doubt it will.
I'm bummed, but that's College Football. At least I got to watch my team go from sanctions and Mike Shula coaching to a serious win streak and a championship. If only the rest of my sports teams could have the same.

Im real curious to see how far bama falls...i mean they simply cannot be ahead of any unbeaten in the top 20 can they? And then how far will SC climb and do bama then have to slot behind them because of todays loss? Again this kind of loss could realistically expose how ludicrous the CFB system is (not that i want to open that can of worms again)
Power rankings...thats all these polls are. Can you imagine if the NHL used power rankings to detemine placements? Its laughable.

They'll definitely be behind Oklahoma, Nebraska and Auburn if Auburn wins tonight. So I'm thinking 8 or 9. I would be disappointed if they fell out of the top 10 because even after this loss they are a top 10 team.

I would agree...but how can you rank them ahead of South carolina now? I highly doubt SC will vault up 10 spots as any of the teams ahead of them are unlikely to lose today other than Michigan and possibly AZ and Miami.

I don't know, it's a tough spot. Jumping that many spots with this win is a little much though no? SC already lost their only other tough game as well. So they were better today, but teams who have beat other teams head to head have been ranked lower in the past.

How many undefeated top 20s are left?
I can't see Alabama falling further than 6th. That's how rankings work.

LSU actually showing a bit of offense in the swamp tonight. Leading Florida and their banged up QB 20-14 at the half.

Right now...11.
AZ is in a battle so if they lose it would be 10. Nevada and OK St. (and possibly Missouri) will be top 20 after today as well, so its up to 12 or 13.
Its gonna be a mess no matter what though.

Unreal how Fla. St. is dismantling Miami at home. Its like men versus boys.
And this Ore. St./AZ game is a beauty.
