Someone please explain to me why exactly Rio automatically gets the armband back after Stevie has basically turned this team around? Why not just give it back to Terry while you're at it?

Northern Ireland 0-1 down to FAROE ISLANDS WTF!?

About 30 minutes left in both matches.

Turkey being down is a huge surprise. I have little doubt that the German machine will roll on versus Kazakhstan, but I'm always a little worried that they dont adequately prepare against some of the smaller teams.

I would classify those both as surprising results. Turkey was heavily favoured to finish second in Germany's group.

This game has been an exemplary display of criminally poor finishing.

I'm worried. Germany arent even taking these guys seriously. On several occasions they've outmanned Germany on the counter and no one seems concerned about it, the wingbacks have lazily been getting back. Many chances have been wasted, turnovers in the midfield, its just been very, very sloppy.

If Kazakhstan dont score, Mertesacker is going to be the Man of the Match, hes disrupted probably 2 or 3, 3 on 1s.

The 18 year-old striker for the Czechs Kadlec just scored to give the Czechs a 2-0 lead.

It is only Liechtenstein, but hey a goal is a goal and this is good for his international experience.
