what would you do in that case Dr H? Immediate hospital, or do you have some type of solvent in the office that would do the job, then Hospital?

I've often thought to myself what would happen to someone if they did this. It will be interesting to see if she still has vision after this. Kind of odd that she managed to do both eyes though. You would think she would have figured that something was wrong after the first drop.

Friend in law school did that. She was putting in her contact lenses, and grabbed for the little bottle of solution without looking, and got the superglue by mistake. She did one eye, and then hollered for her son to drive her to emergency. Recovered without any problems.
What was her name... damn, I'm getting old.

Medical supplies, contact solution etc goes in the medicine cabinet in my bathroom. Superglue, household products are in a completely different room, isn't this fairly standard practice by normal people?
On a side note I had an old room mates girlfriend borrow some contact solution without me knowing. It is a peroxide solution that needs a special case to neutralize. She used a normal case, the next morning was pretty unpleasant for her.

I squirted crazy glue into my eye once and it was insanely painful. I had to go to an eye specialist at Rockyview Hospital. I've torn the ligaments in my knee and busted my spleen - this was worse than both of those rolled into one. The glue is like acid and melts away your cornea...it's awful.
As was mentioned earlier, though, they heal pretty quick. Within a week I was good to go.

Incidentally, this is exactly the reason I no longer keep the Dran-o next to the mouthwash.

While I'm sure its not the same instance, my GF (and most other women I assume) has nail glue, which is essentialy the same thing.
In this case I think they are even very similar bottles.

Once I spread some toothpaste on my face, and it took a moment for the mint smell to cause me to realize it wasn't my acne medication!

Unfortunately, the only product I know of that neutralizes superglue is acetone.

Maybe that's the point, but toothpaste is actually used as an acne spot treatment.
