Huff most of thought Maver had the leg for that kick..
Maybe Maver made a similar kick during the warm-up or a practice before..

Congrats to Reynolds.
Now the all time rushing leader for the Stampeders.

Might as well have just gone for 9 yards instead of that field goal. Turnover on downs would've been about the same field position, but the upside would've been 7 instead of 3.

Calgary hurdlers? LOL.

That was a ######ed decision by the Esks to decline and put the Stamps in 2nd and 10 instead of 1st and 20.

Instead of making the offense move the ball 10 yards twice in a row, you only make them do it once.

Maver has been decidedly unimpressive this week.

The Stamps are going to have to start hitting the end zone as Maver isn't going ot make any field goals.

They haven't made any big plays on any side of the ball.

The Stamps have moved the ball with ease every time they've had the ball - they just have had poor field position with is forcing them into very long drives if they want TDs. The Eskimos have yet to show they can sustain any type of offense.

Unless Edmonton shows something very quickly to stop both of these, this game should open up very soon.

Passing the ball on 2nd and inches isn't a good start. The Stamps have played it conservative in those situations all year - why stop in a game where you're not going to need to make the big play to win it? I could understand that call against the Als maybe as you're looking for a difference making play, but all the Stamps need to do is play smart right now.

Also, can't wait to see this coaching staff earn its pay at halftime.

Ray is doing a 3-step drop and the Stamps aren't able to get to him quick enough. We'll see what Chris Jones comes up with to counteract that.

Also on offense, the Stamps are moving the ball great but are unable to hit the home run.

And special teams has been horrible all season long and now that we are in a close game, it is starting to matter.

Time to start trying out another place kicker. Maver has lost his confidence.

Watching the last two Edmonton offensive sequences coalesced my concerns with the early game, and touches on your point: Until this latest drive, we've started with pretty awful field possession. Edmonton has been given the time to move the ball a bit or pin us on a kick return, and while it isn't enough to do much damage, it was enough to keep us around our 20 instead of our 40. As a result, we're moving the ball, but not scoring, and that puts us in position where a poor decision or bad luck can turn a game.

Our last two defensive stands reflected what we've done the last two times out against the Eskimos though. Not surprisingly, we got both a safety and great field position. Starting to get back to doing what we need to do to score points. Good to see going into the second half.

That was a nice drive.
