I don't know, he looked good but it's not like the Riders were defending or anything.

Toronto is losing 20-6 going into halftime, they could easily be leading this game.

Buck Pierce has a dislocated right elbow. The Bombers don't have a time-line for his injury but by the sounds of it is a month to month thing. Andrew Bogut of the Milwaukee Bucks suffered a similar injury in April and is he is just getting back to 100 per cent. I think Buck is done for 2010. I love Buck because he has so much heart but the dude is made of pure glass.

2014? That seems like a really long time away.
The Buck Pierce injury looked pretty bad. When I saw the replay I squirmed. I said right away that he dislocated his elbow. I didn't even really know you could do that. Owie.

Just looking at the two hottest teams in the league right now, how awesome would a Hamilton/Calgary Grey Cup be? A return to the late 1990s when those two teams were dominant. I've got a lot of respect for the Ti-Cats and love the way they're playing this year. (insert usual caveat about how it's only september, lots of football still to be played, knock on wood, etc.)

Until Hamilton beats someone other Winnipeg or Toronto. It is Montreal's to lose in the East.

And until Calvillo comes back losing it isn't out of the question.

His wife gave birth to a daughter on the same day he's released by the Eskimos (and it was a complicated delivery to boot). That's quite the organization they have up there in Edmonton.

On another note there are whispers in Edmonton that Eric Tillman has been spotted in meetings with Eskimos brass. This would be very interesting as he would definately represent the best man for the job of turning around the team on the field but on the other hand the organization would take another PR hit. IMO the team is already at rock bottom so if Tillman comes in and turns the team around people will be quick to forget. MacTavish killed a person from behind the wheel and I don't recall much of an uproar about his hiring up North.

They can have ET, as long as they don't try and steal Chris Jones.

That's my hope actually. ET may want to bring in his own guy and I'm not sure if he's ever been associated with Jones.

Rumor has it the Als and Ticats are the front runners for Stevie Baggs.
Also Winnipeg is interested in signing another play made of pure glass his name is Jesse Lumsden.

I actually had a chuckle on that one after I read it. How long do they think Lumsden play before he goes down with injury. I mean they just lost an injury-prone QB in Buck Pierce for the rest of the season and now they are looking at getting another lemon? Both guys are talented when they are healthy BUT how many times are these guys healthy?
It looks like they are not happy with Fred Reid. They just signed another RB (can't remember his name) and Lumsden might sign as well. Or maybe they are just trying to light his butt as he's been dissapointing this season so far.
