Default McDonalds.....you lovin it?

McDonalds hit an all time high today and if you look at the 20 year chart the stock price of MCD has gone up by 990.52%. Not many other companies can compare to this over a 20 year period. Not many other companies have a business model that allows for teenagers to run the show. The goal is to have more restaurants in China then they have in the US today so steady as she goes. CNBC had a great show on McDonalds recently and the marketing/pr for that company is nothing short of brilliant. http://www.mcdonalds.ca/en/food/calculator.aspx Even with all the chips on the table people continue to go there in droves. Biggest owner of real estate in the world......besides that they are everywhere why do you or don't you go? Is it the old classics (burger/fries) or the "healthy choices" or did the coffee get to you? convenient, cheap, reliable, there are many reasons.... Besides Walmart I have yet to see a company offers up so much love for some and hate for others. The love is winning in the long run.....you lovin it? If you don't love the food, at least love the stock

Not that I am a fan or anything, but I never think of any other fast food place if I must have a burger. Never Wendy's (they never seem to get my order correct), never Burger King (do they still exist?), never KFC (that stuff is pure poison) and never anywhere else it seems. McTurds seems to have burned into my brain for the odd meal.

Their stock prices would double if they sold their Sweet & Sour sauce in stores.

meh. I eat Mcdonalds alot. Beinga college student it makes it easy for food on the run.

I haven't gained any weight either. But I usually get a dbl small meal with a diet so it's like 600 calories.

If it were socially acceptable, I would drink McDick's BBQ sauce in a tall beer glass. I love that crap.

the only thing I've had from there the last couple of years, is the #4 breakfast on my way to a golf course. maybe 1 Big Mac in the last 2 years is about the only other thing.

If you look at the prices for their salads and other healthy choices I think that is where things have gotten better for them. Try to eat healthy there and it will likely cost you 25% -30% more. Fruit parfait is another example of getting less as they basically reduced the size of those things by 25%. Guess they don't have a monopoly on the price of fruit/vegtables yet....they do serve the most salads in the world regardless...soon coffee I am sure...

Gentlemen, let me introduce you to a trigger - the greatest McDonalds sandwich of all time:

The combination of Jr. Chicken and DBL Cheeseburger is a tantalizing treat for the tastebuds. I strongly recommend you all try one at the conclusion of a night of a heavy drinking.

I go for the $1 fries a couple of times a year but always feel kinda disappointed .

So I'm going to try 5 Guys next time.

I don't know if Arby's even exists anymore but I used to love their horseradish sauce.

People are eating there because they still want to eat out but have to do it on the cheap. No more Applebees, McDonalds instead. Really they should go to the grocery store but at the same time not everyone has the time or energy after putting in 9 hours and banking a cool 90 bucks for the day.

Walmart is doing well too, because there are so many people working for money below cost of living (especially at Walmart) or not at all. It's not a good thing.

Do you mean that it will cost you more than buying a burger, or more than buying the same salad at a direct competitor?

If it's more than the burger, it makes sense, since handling and storage costs will be much more. If it's more than the competitors, then that's a surprise.

I worked at McChoke and Puke during my HS school years. Haven't touched that crap since. Worst of all the fast food burgers on the market. Then again i'm biased due to all the nasty crap that went on in the grill area. I could tell you stories that would have your hair stand on end.

It's funny you say that because I've always said that after I'm diagnosed with a terminal illness I want to order a bucket of KFC, dump out the chicken, fill it with KFC gravy, pull the skin off the chicken and put it back in the bucket and then throw in some MacDonalds fries. What a meal that would be.

A trigger? Who the hell knows this as a trigger? This sandwich answers to one name and one name only. The McGangBang.
