The indestructible car.

I bought a 2000, and I've run it up to 215,000 with just the standard work done (oil change, brakes etc). The only mechanical failure I had so far was a 14 dollar sensor that caused an over heat.

I'm almost sad to let mine go this month.

Agreed- these cars are great, long lasting and if i recall have a nice sound system. This is a steal for $4,400, in fact I have forwarded it to someone in my office- but I was too late.

I put a new stereo into my sunfire, but it came with an excellent system.

The sunfire that I bought rebuilt a lot of faith in American made cars.

And they're eligible for a good junker credit on trade ins too.

Still available. Over the past couple days have had a couple people come see it and say they "may be interested" and would "get back to me"... but nothing concrete.

Out of curiousity are you looking at buying her a new car, because you'd probably get more on the junker credit since it is a pontiac.

I've seen GM lots giving up to $5000.00 for the junker credit.

We've bought a RAV4. Toyota offered peanuts for a trade-in. GM would have offered us a decent price, but we didn't want a new GM so that option was out the window.
