Saudi couple "hammer 24 nails" into Sri Lankan maid
A Saudi couple tortured their Sri Lankan maid after she complained of a too heavy workload by hammering 24 nails into her hands, legs and forehead, officials said on Thursday.
So ya...well...hmm...Im not going to complain to my boss anymore!

Do we even know if the Sri Lanken woman is Muslim? My semi-funny/semi-racist comment doesn't really work if she doesn't wear the full body/facial hijab.

She could be Muslim, though I think majority are Hindu. But perhaps she has to wear the sheet to work in SA regardless?

and this from the article I missed...
Ariyawathi has been taken to hospital for surgery to remove the nails, which according to the maid were hammered in when they were hot.
so why did they have to heat the nails up before hammering them into her head? Do the nails hammer in easier if hot?
Will these people have nails hammered into their skulls based on Sharia Law?

Easier to nail, and prevents infections. They don't want the maid to get sick, if she does she can't work.

No kidding. That reminds me I read an article this morning in the Metro about an all girls school in Afghanistan being gassed. The theory is that the Taliban wants to discourage them from becoming educated and going to school.
Should just send the cast of the expendables over there to clean them out.
