You wanna know something really messed up?

When that poor kid got his head cut off on the Greyhound a while back I was the first person who could have replied to the thread on CP. I was so tempted to say "well, that's not a way to get " A Head" in life.

Ok fair enough. Humour is one of those things that varies wildly and what one person finds offense another finds funny (or both at the same time, they aren't mutually exclusive). And some people use humour to cope with bad things.

When that guy died at the Olympics, it was tragic but when someone posted the animated gif of him flying off and crashing into the twin towers I howled. Or dead baby jokes...

Anyway, even if you have a different level of what's funny, I don't think it's fair to expect everyone else to fit with what you find appropriate.

You know, thanks to this thread I've discovered that shortly after I post something and the thread has run it's course, I forget about it. I don't hold grudges or dislike posters for something they posted over a year ago. In fact, if it weren't for posters who do keep bringing things up, I'm sure I'd forget most stuff completely, like the BP thread.

MMF, for what it's worth, I totally forgot about the thread on waterboarding and I can see your point. If you want to continue reading my posts with a thinly veiled disgust because of a misunderstanding almost two years ago, that's your perogative. For my part, the fact that you turned that discussion very personal very quickly was long forgotten.

Some people take this internet thing WAY too seriously.

For the record I don't hold grudges, at all. Holding a grudge and finding someone annoying are two totally different things.

I was accused a week ago of only posting in a thread because of who started it. Fact 'o the matter is I rarely look at who posted a thread before opening it, and I usually don't notice who made a post until I hit the reply button since I have sigs turned off.
