			Other free agent fun facts:
 -21 teams made offers
-The player garnering the most interest was Radim Vrbata with 8 offers
-The players garnering the least interest were Dwayne Roloson and Tim Thomas both with just 1 each. Funny enough Thomas also had the highest offer of any player with max bucks
 - Only one team made offers that exceeded their cap. As such all their offers were void.

Great pickup with Lang at $0.825mm. There's always one guy who sneaks through with great value....well done Cheese.
Happy to get Slava Kozlov...$3.6mm for a 64 OVR isn't too bad.

Figured one of the defensemen would go cheaply, but guessed the wrong one. If I had offered O'Donnell the 1.35 million offered Bouillon I would have had him. (Thought Bouillon would get the least attention having the lower DF rating).

Only two offers were made on Lang at all (I made the other, and missed by about 50K)

For both your players there were offers made in that approximate neighborhood so you didn't overpay by much.

I think I was the 'overpaying' GM, thinking that I wouldn't get all the players I put on my list... so I wouldn't have gone over cap... but I now understand what the league is looking for.

Surprised to see some players get more than what the Grid deal would of been for them. I missed out on Lapierre by 50K. Agree that Lang was a steal.

Well, I'm happy with how this batch worked out for the Devils. A forward and two d-men, not bad.

I am very surprised at some of these signings. We made one offer but were not very close apparently!

Damn, we are happy to get Guerin. He's exactly what we needed and steps onto our second line immediately with only a one year commitment. Now looking to add some 4th line depth if possible...

			Time to make those DVD's.
Except I wouldn't have wanted some of those forwards at those prices.....Lang being an exception, fantastic deal Cheese. I figured he would have been offered a few M more.

Islanders land 2 forwards and 2 goalies for a total of 7.3 MIL under grid. Raycroft or Conklin are now available at 65 and 66 OV's for a back-up which is not too shabby at 2 MIL and 2.75 Mil respectively. I signed Conklin last year at 4.51 Mil so signing him at 2.75 for 3 years is a bit more reasonable. I am looking for 65/66 LW or C in return. Please PM if interested
As far as the forwards go I was happy to get Laperriere at 2.85 Mil for a 64OV player with top of the line defensive ability. Although at a price I was very happy to get Vrbata and the highest SC rating in the group, he is better than the 63OV he has now (due to a terrible season 2 years ago) and from what Grant said he was well sought after (not sure how much the overpayment was but I can bet that I wasn't the only one that offered grid+).

Overall pretty satisfied except for the fact I didn't land a defenseman.

 Cheers
 Mike B
