You know, it's completely up to the rep you get and what mood they are in. When I worked for AT&T in the States I really had full control over anyone's bill. While I didn't take out my anger on the customers, if there was a nice person on the other end they were WAAAY more likely to get a freebee from me. A few more minutes here, earlier nights and weekends there, maybe a free phone.

Browsing TELUS' website for 2 minutes, I was able to find two alternate sections for Mandarin speakers and speakers of a language called Desi.

???

I imagine that if you can speak those languages, and navigate the associated websites, you would be directed to a special TELUS number that, when called, would direct you to a chinese or desi speaking representative who would then get you your Asian rates.

Can you post a link? I couldn't find these sections.

Actually i did find them. I wonder how we can verify if this is really true.

I'm talking residential services guys. Not mobile. When we all seen this we were stunned. I'm of minority and I didn't agree with it. When people call in they can request to speak to somebody of a specific language. Every place usually has that.

The lower price thing I'm talking about was only for Asian people. It wasn't for East Indian people.
