Yeah it's a Lowe's, right across the street from Home Depot. Price matching/beating ahoy!

I heard that they tried three times to get a theater there. But nope, we need a building center across from another building center.

BTW, if you go further down the deerfoot, there looks like something going on when you get to the bridge that's at the City Limits... Looks like they're flattening the ground and there were tractors sitting around.
 any idea what's happening there?

Did they buy their building supplies from the building supplier in order to build their building supplier?

I am excited that there will be some competition especially from a newcomer to this market. Home Depot has crap lumber.

That has been Lowes strategy against Home Depot in the US, and it has served them very well. I believe they even managed to get a store across the street from the original Home Depot location.

The south hospital is already well above ground, and is at its final height in most places. It could be site prep for the neighbourhoods that will surround it.

Lowes is disappointing. I was hoping for a movie theatre as well.
I heard a Target might be going in by the south hospital.

On the west side of Deerfoot is all Cranston....even down low in the river valley. There will be higher end houses on that low portion with a "no curb" design to them to allow for ditches and culverts everywhere.

They are also running services under Deerfoot from Cranston to Seton with a big horizontal drill, so you'll see equipment on both sides of Deerfoot there.

Ya, I hear that Burns Slant Drilling Co. got that contract even without bidding or formal approval from the city or school board.
