So Bestbuy and Futureshop are giving away hats/t-shirts and mice/headsets with SC2 at midnight.

Is EB/Gamestop doing anything?

I'm so disappointed with this game. It's exactly like the first one with better graphics which makes it harder to play. Well at least it saved me 1000s of hours of time unlike the first one.

Erm, what were you expecting?

Honest question. For most people 'exactly the same with better graphics' would be a plus.

Imo, the major overhaul Blizzard did to the controls is an often overlooked plus. I find it makes the new Starcraft experience much smoother. I was playing the original the other day and wondered how my younger self ever put up older version. I know that I'll never go back.

Yeah. Things like the pathing in the old one are just painful. I'm not sure how Bertuzzied thinks it's harder to play, because they really made the interface much smoother.

For every one of you, there are hundreds who would cry murder if Blizzard did anything more than upgrade the graphics.

As someone who played the beta I can tell you that the game is definitely not an epic fail.

Are they only carrying the Collector's Edition? Any idea how many copies of non-Collector's Edition they might be carrying? Wonder if there will be any chance of getting the game if I show up around 11.

On another note... someone needs to tell Amazon that pre-ordering means I don't really want to wait to receive it until 2 weeks after it is released. Major fail.

I can't imagine there will be huge lineups. After all you can download the game straight from Blizzard and start playing at midnight.

Digital downloads go on sale tomorrow at 10AM. Only the people standing in line tonight can play at midnight.

(Whether or not the extra 10 hour wait means anything to people is another discussion.)

I stopped by Gamestop in Southcenter to see if they received any extra CEs that I could upgrade to. Sadly, they didn't. The guy said that I should show up early if I didn't have a pre-order for a normal version cuz they didn't have many extra copies.
