So, where do you draw the line? Many a man lied about his income status or career to get some action. Women lie about their age sometimes to make themselves more sexually appealing. Lying about your name or religion doesn't seem like a bigger issue than those.

BTW, I met a Palestinian named "Adam" before. His parents just happened to like the name I guess. Maybe things are different in Canada in that regard though.

However when someone has aids even if protection is being used non-disclosure has been considered a crime and an assualt (not rape mind you). This makes sense as you are putting someone in direct physical harm.

So following the logic of that law if this person was so religious that she had mental problems after the sex then the crime might actually of occurred. However her views on pre-marital sex don't seem to fit with some one who is extremely religious. So it is a load crap

However at what point does lying become criminal. Fraud is a crime in certain circumstances. It's odd that lying to get sex has no consequence. Ie pretending you want a relationship and then just breaking up after you get some is not a crime. Yet lying about investments and running off with someone's money is a crime. In both cases people have made an investment based on trusting the information provided. And in both cases the people were subjected to loss because of lies. Its interesting that society will protect you from being conned out of money but not being conned out of sex.

Hopefully, this gets overturned quickly. Sounds like many Israeli's are a bit perplexed by this one as well. The judge involved must be some kind of old conservative crackpot.

I wouldn't call this racism as this has more to do with religion than anything. The woman could clearly see what colour the guy's skin was. It's definitely discrimination though.

The idea of a woman who has just agreed to sex with a random complaining about religious values is a bit perplexing to say the least.
