And that is simply because there isn't 8000 of them in the Saddledome. If you put that many in the Saddledome incidents like that would happen because they would treat the arena the same way. Also lower the cost of attending so that people feel that drinking the game away is worth it and all of a sudden you have the same situation.
As for those J and K tickets I think they are usually purchased by the Sask social club every year so the same people would likely get those tickets.

I would venture there would be 5,000-6,000 of them at every Flames, proportionately not that different than a Stamps game. They also tend to mob together in third bowl just like the Rider fans tend to do at the ends of McMahon.
If those seats are provided to those people by the Sask social club, they should be ashamed if they are aware as to what goes on there and continue to give those tickets to that group of people.

I hope the stamps crush your stupid team...oh and feel like showing some class at a game for once in your lives...sucks that I actually do not go to sask games anymore because some stupid liquered up 19 year old wearing a watermelon may punch me for wearing my teams colour.
Canucks fans, raider fans and Rider fans should be banned from breeding.

1 in 4 fans are Cannuck fans at flames games? I don't think so. Maybe 3000 tops. Also in the blacks Flames fans still outnumber cannucks fans unlike the corners. I will admit it is about as close of a comparison as you can get hence Cannucks fans dbag reputation.

Maybe not 1 in 4 but it would be pretty close lately. A large amount of Canucks fans at every game now, and getting to be more with each passing year.

Not just fan sites but the way the act all over the internet.
I agree it isn't the best way to judge a fan base but considering how much worse they are than any other fanbase on the internet I would say that it does say something about the fans.
Also, as others have mentioned not sure using Canuck fans is the best argument considering what bags they are.

Older rider fans, newer rider fans, this logic is full of holes.
Sorry for drinking at a sporting event, I didn't realise that everyone at the Flames games are 100% sober. You want to talk about classless fans? Last November I brought my Uncle to a Rangers Flames game, he is the farthest thing from threatening when you look at him, and he doesn't say boo unless you speak to him.
He had things thrown at him, dumped on him, and when he tried to use the bathroom next to the 300's he was called on about 4 different times by some young punks.
So you can sit in your ivory tower and look down upon us lowly Rider fans, but the fact remains that every fan base has jack asses, every fan base has disgraceful fans. This is not something that is isolated in Saskatchewan.. and if you ever come to Mosaic you need to ask to not be situated in the University section. They have an actual section of the stands where they stick the rowdy young crowd, if you request for tickets on the other side I can guarentee you will have a great experience with a lot of fun loving Rider fans. Think of it as going to a Flames game and sitting next to the 300's or in the 300's.. what do you get up there? People knitting quilts and playing go fish?
Again, I apologize for being passionate about my team and my province. The way people talk about the Flames on this board I guess I should have remembered that it is a crime to be positive about your favourite sporting franchise.

I have no doubt you would see nothing wrong with the way some of the Rider fan base act at a Stamps game....

You want a case in point on which teams fans are truly obnoxious and taunting?
My thread topic was asking where to get a pilsner hat..... and besides one, maybe two posts the rest were telling me where to go and how "samrt" myself and Riders fans are........

Don't have much of a memory do you? Already start pre-drinking for the game on Saturday? That's definitely a comment that's going to go over well on a Calgary messageboard.

I am a huge Riders fan and I no longer attend games at McMahon - it's just too damn embarrasing to witness the arrogance of some of these drunken twits who "call" themselves Riders fans. Going into a calgary fan based chat site and asking for Pilsner hats is probably not a good way to keep things civil. Order the damn hat on the Riders website, the money goes to the actual club.

you knew there would be a negative response and you got it. Something tells me you were more just trying to bring up the 3-0 record. You do realize two of these games could have went either way.

Not to mention, starting to insult the Stampeders and taunting their fans by the third post in the thread.
That's the attitude of the new Rider fan though. Poke, Praud, Taunt, and than sit back and wonder out loud as to why people don't react well to it and pull out the old "It's not just the Rider fans". You can only poke and praud a bear in it's den for so long until you are going to get bitten.
That's what i've been noticing at McMahon lately. Calgarians have essentially taken an enough is enough attitude, and things are getting more confrontational.
When I go watch the Flames or Stamps in Edmonton or Vancouver, I cheer very loudly but i'm very careful not to offend/piss off the home fans around me, because I know i'm in hostile territory. It's a little bit of tact, and a little bit of me not wanting to get engaged in a fight. Can't understand for the life of me why Rider fans can't graps this (be it in Edmonton, Calgary, or BC).

Actually no, i started a thread about where to get a pilsner hat for exactly that reason, why dont you look back at the start of this thread and see how many ACTUAL helpful responses i got...
If someone knew and answered the question right away that would have been the end of it.
Why am i justifying myself to you anyway, quite the Riders fan by the way, yes a couple of those games could have gone either way, along with 80% of the rest of the cfl games......

I think this comment in the OP was what ticked off a lot of people.
