85 flex on an Easton Synergy (cause when you cut it down, the flex decreases sharply). Would love a Coffey curve in an Easton stick, but settle for the Yzerman (Gaborik was good before being discontinued).

I see them sometimes on ebay, but the ones in good shape are always quite expensive. There is one on there for $199 right now.

I was in Atom when they first came out, and a kid on my team came into the dressing room with one. It didn't make him a better hockey player, but everyone else was very envious!
I've got one. I like it. Very still and fairly heavy compared to the new composite sticks. Seeing how I don't play much anymore and If I was in YYC, I'd consider selling mine.

i still have an unused lockjaw blade (tkachuk) and tool. cool concept. i used to collect the tapered screws.

this was the time when companies were trying to compete with each other on shafts/blades. nothing was as good as 'traditional' glue.

there was the 'harpoon system' from bauer that was worse. little rubber ridges on the hosel, no glue required. just force it in and the rubber would grip to the shaft. problem, it was either too loose and had to 'tap' it down every shift, or too tight and had a hell of a time getting it out.

RBK Sickick pro 110 flex D12. Thing feels like an iron pipe but it will get the puck out of the zone when you need it to.

I always keep one of these handy! Nice big heavy stick.

I generally have a few sticks I bring with me depending on where I am playing (position) and against which team. I break out the wood when I know all I am going to be doing is knocking people away from in front of the net and digging in corners.

I used to have 3 of the Sakic Stealths 100 that I picked up for a great price, $100 each but I finally broke the last one this past year. They were great sticks and lasted me 4 or 5 years. I would get more but they are a little pricey...

Isn't it!?

I have actually gone back to using it full time and love the he'll out of it. I pass better, shoot better and handle the puck with greater ease.

I hadn't scored in the AllCal league in a year, put the 5030 back in my hands and potted 2 in my second game. Glorious...and cheaper too!

75 flex, as I have a Brett Hull-like whippy wrist shot.

As for the curve, gotta love the Getzlaf (used to be called the Lidstrom). It's the one with the toe flare and deep cup on the heel.

I don't know off the top of my head, but what was the Warrior one I bought off you?

I used it one game like 50 games ago and hated it after 2 shifts.

Brought it back out last game, got 2 goals and an assist. The issue with it is you really, really have to concentrate on keeping the shot low, or it'll go WAY over the glass. But it's great for roofing it in low.

i admit i had one - it was a ok idea - however the baldes were hard to find.

anyone rember how hard it was to get the first blade out of an aluminum shaft ? i recall clamping my shaft in my dad's workmate and simultaneously pulling and dong a leg press - took a few nights but i finally got it out.

It's the Warrior "Mac Daddy, Nipple Grip", 100 flex, Draper curve.

The draper curve is just insane.

I had a bunch of Christian hockey sticks back in the day too. They always came in cool neon colors and I loved the "X" patterns on the blades.

The PMP cane is a great grinding stick. All these new composite ones are so light that when one of them tries to lift the 9950, it fails!

I also find the wood sticks give a better slap shot, where as the composites give a better wrist shot.

this used to be my preference, but then i started using a stiffer stick and as a stronger person that helped my shot a lot. i use a Bauer one95 100 flex with kind of a Malkin curve but its actually my ex-gf's brothers who plays for the Pats so he gets them for free haha

I had one too and it was the X pattern that sold me. I actually don't think I ever broke that stick.

For the guys that are using composites, do you notice any difference between the major brands of sticks (ie. Bauer, Easton. Warrior, Reabok)? I've always used Bauer but have been really curious how the Easton's perform.

What a beauty!
I'm fairly certain I have one of these in my garage complete with a brand new spare blade for it. I had no idea it was sought after. Almost used it for street hockey last night!

Are you serious? Let me know if you want to sell it, I'll give you good money.
