Rocky's Burger Bus
ok forget Loungeburger, or Fatburger, or Peters, or any other place in the city. hands down the best burger in Calgary and possibly the best burger i've ever eaten is at Rocky's Burger Bus just off of Blackfoot in the industrial area. their single patty burger is bigger than most doubles at any other place and done to perfection, with a mountain of home cut fries as a side. and not only is it the most tastiest i've eaten in the city, at $8 for the burger, fries, and drink it's an awesome deal (unlike the high end burger places like lounge or fat)
if you've never tried it i so highly recommend it

Yeah, I go there once in a while. It's awesome.
If you're close to there, try Holy Smoke. Best BBQ in the city.

Is the map on the site correct?
What are its hours of operation? Weekends?

I tried it for the first time last week, and yes, it's as good as you might think it is. Plus there's two girls that work there that are very minty looking. The hours are terrible though... Mon-Fri 10AM to 3PM, closed on the weekends.

Wow, good thing I read your post. I was seriously just about to hop in my car and head over there for a burger.

I found it to be a little dry. Nothing special.
How about the cheese steak from cowtown drive thru thingy on Macleod and 50th ave -ish (I'm so accurate)

....and to be fair to them and the hours they are open. That area is so far from the general public, and the only people in that area are the guys that work around there. So to be open just long enough to basically cover anyone's lunch break that works between 7-3 and 9-5 is probably in their best interest.

The bus has been there for 20 years or so im guessing they get as much business as they need.
This is my favourite burger in the city. Milkshakes are good also.
Also, on a side note: DJ's market in the same parking lots is a great place to shop for produce. Mostly local and I end up spending half what I would at a grocery store.

Those cheese steaks are epic, but not as epic as the London Broil during Stampede. That is essentially epic multiplied by awesome and then divided by zero.

I drive around the city all day and I constantly am looking for good quick places to eat.
Any suggestions?
I seem to hit the same places... a&a's, chicken on the way, bad ass jacks.

mmmmmmmmm, Rocky's health violation bus.
When I worked at Blackfoot Motosports I used to go almost daily. I am a big eater, and I still struggled with their double. But the burgers are awesome. Thanks for ther reminder of this decrepid grease trap. Now I have to go get one in the next day or so.

Yup, it's sit down and take out.
Well worth going to. It's a buck a bone for ribs.

That one girl's patties and buns make the trip worthwhile.

I've been meaning to go but it's kind of out of the way. How does it compare to boogie burger on Edmonton trail? I like that place.
