Have you completed the entire storyline?

After John returns to the farm, you can't change your outfit until you've completed the full storyline, then you can do everything again. It's not a glitch, it's part of the game.

ok, I haven't finished all of the farm tasks yet. It's kind of lame that it's part of the game, but I guess I'll finish the storyline then. Thanks.

Everyone should be playing this again for the co-op missions. Just played 1 with my friend and it was about 25 minutes long for 1 mission and there are 6 total.

The best part is you can do them with up to 16 people! It was hilarious doing the mission with that many of us running around, the problem being there is always some dick who will kill the hostage, etc and fail the mission.

Just tried this (My friend got 100% completion and finally let me borrow it for a little).

Can somebody explain to me how to save guys trying to get hung? I've been asked like 3 times to do this, but each time I keep missing the rope (I'm betting there's an easy solution, like you can aim at it).

EDIT - Also, what does this game have against me? I shoot a deer, go to skin it, get attacked by 5 wolves. I shoot each one (Keep in mind, all I have at this point are the 2 starting guns), call my horse (figure there is more and that I've exceeded my current skill boundry), it gets killed by a cougar aiming at me. I kill the cougar, get attacked by 3 more wolves.

use dead eye mode, R3 on PS3, and it slows everything down. Then you just place your shots, then speed time back up again and it should all be good!

Must save up Deadeye for that next time. I keep wasting it doing other things (Namely because my accuracy is terrible at best at shooting...even with auto-aim functions).

I rarely used my dead eye ever, just spam L2 to aim and R2, makes aiming a joke.

Just think Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, easy mode, all the time.

if you look at the deed titles in the store, they describe the colour of the horse and it's speed. That's what I go by

Sickly looking horses = slow
Black, white with black face, and champagne = fast
palomino, greys, brown with black mane, etc are normal speed

if onlt it worked this way in real life you'd always know what horse to steal

The Kentucky Saddler is the best, it is gold, usually costs about $750 in the store if I'm not mistaken.

Murder is the crime committed more than any other (more than all others combined).

Wolves are the most killed animal, which isn't surprising since they usually attack in groups of 4-6 and won't give up until you kill at least 3 of them.

Speaking of horses, and as someone who has only just made it to Mexico, is there any real advantage to having a faster horse? So far I've never needed anything faster than the horse I got back at the beginning of the game.

Faster horses will help with the train missions for sure. Never hurts to have a lot of horses either, especially with the rise of ninja cougars later in the game.

Got to ride a horse not tied to another horse for the first time ever this weekend. It was just a trail horse, but you can't imagine the urge I had to just push my girlfriend off her horse, jump on the horse and just ride into the sunset

I am at 98.7% complete right now.

Damned 1.3% is Bounty missions. I hate doing them.

Ah well, I have all the outfits so I'll finish off the Bounties tomorrow.


By the way, the achievement for getting a "ringer" in Horseshoes is stupid hard, spent 30 minutes trying to get it then gave up. It is like bowling from GTA IV all over again, not sure which is harder, getting 3 strikes in a row in GTA IV or getting a ringer in horseshoes. Brutal!

i thought the ringer would be impossible as well. i got it fairly easy though. i played horseshoes early on when the game first popped up. wasn't very good and came nowhere near getting it. so i played through the game and then came back to it when i was working on trophies. it only took me 1 game to get it. i thought it would be more luck based, but i was able to get pretty good when i actually took some time with it.

I only played horseshoes once the whole game. I totally fluked out and got the ringer on my third toss.

Finished the story a few days ago.

Best ending to a story in any game I have ever played. Very surprising for a Rockstar game.
