Well there goes my plan of playing every combination for a gauranteed win.

15 out of 27 MAXmillions were won but not the big one. (one from calgary!)
25 people shared the 15 prized, one of the numbers 4 people split (that must suck)
So it's not impossible to get 7 numbers right, just have to hit the big one and not so many little ones!

It's $1 for 2 lines and the extra for a another buck if you want that as well. So it's a $2 ticket and the jackpots are always $1million.

Technically you would still be up seeing as its $50 Million plus 45 - $1 million draws.
so 95 million for spending 85 million of course thats only if you don't share the pots at all.
Edit:
Also you better start filling out the tickets now for Friday oh and don't accidently forget a combonation

I think it's going to hit closer to 60 extra draws once the dust settles. The sales for this week's draw is going to be insane.

I spent $50 on this weeks Lotto Max and got a few free plays. Yay.
That isn't going to stop me from putting at least $100 on next weeks minimum.
I didn't even play the lottery that much at all until a few people that I know won big.

Given next week's draws are effectively worth $95 million +, that would be a record high, no?

That's not quite right. It's $5 per ticket so really its like 400 million to buy out everthing. You do get 3 lines per ticket but two of those are computer generated. Also with about 50% going to the price pool you buy the tickets would also increase the pot significantly
Now it really isn't that surprising that this 50 million dollar pot wasn't one. This week started at 50 million and ended at 50 million plus 27 million in single prizes. So the jack pot increased by 27 million. So the 7/7 prizes are made up of 87% of the price pool which means the total price pool was about 31 million. This does not include the 3 of 7 / 4 of 7 prize.
The 3 of 7 and 4 of 7 prices represent about 1.30 of each ticket purchased. Of each ticket purcahsed 48% goes to prices so $2.40 of each ticket goes to prizes. 2.40-1.30 = $1.10 of each ticket goes to the big pool. So there would be a grand total of about 28 million tickets sold.
Now because you are allowed duplicate numbers the odds of no one winning with 28 million tickets sold is about 36%. Even with 50,000,000 tickets sold as estimated for next week there is still about a 16% chance no one wins.
