Madoff's wife and other people involved are still being investigated.

I suspect they left her that money so that she'd have enough finances to get the hidden money while the FBI tail her.

Just in case you were wondering if Bernie Madoff had any second thoughts:

Madoff, 71, has become a folk hero to most of his fellow inmates -- but when one inmate lashed out at the disgraced Ponzi schemer for his $65 billion theft, Madoff barked: "F- - - my victims. I carried them for 20 years, and now I'm doing 150 years," New York magazine reports in its issue on sale tomorrow.

Here's the article in today's New York Magazine. He's a quasi-hero in prison:

There is another set of videos of Markopolos talking about busting Madoff, but I can't seem to remember if it was on cnbc or msnbc.
I thought I posted them on CP once before.

There's no point in him denying his scam anymore, and he's never getting out of jail. If he was smart enough to pick up some admiration in the population for his scam, he might as well use that collateral.

I'm sure that every convict thats nearing release is going to go to him to bounce off money making white collar schemes.
