"Grave brain damage" to someone who gets so smashed that they throw themselves from a moving car might be a bit of a misnomer. "Damaging a piece of their anatomy they were apparently not really using" might be more apt.

Short answer. Yes. Long answer, each side has their story as to what happened and her rights and ability to be compensated if she was harmed should be protected and furthered (ugh, that hurt).
If you check out the firm profile, it's not wonder they take on anything and everything - look at the number of support staff they have!

Jeebus. It's like a 3:1 ratio of people who cost the firm money v. those that make money. What's the difference between a "law clerk" and a "legal assistant" at that firm anyways?

I'd like to raise a practical question at this point...
If she dies from her 'grave brain injuries', who inherits her stuff and her money? Assuming she has no will - and given that she's such a mess that she would do this, it's not an unreasonable assumption - wouldn't it be the spouse (common law or otherwise)?

Probably the only thing that would've stopped the drunken biatch, and sure as hell he'd be sued had he done it that way too.
Sometimes I really hate the way society is going. I often say what a great time to be alive it really is. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING is our fault. We can always find someone to blame, or at least the lawyers can.
