I'd disappear. A cousin of mine won 6.8 million about 10 years back. Everyone you've ever known will come looking for money.

First, buy a penthouse condo in the tallest high rise in town.

Then, buy myself a new season ticket.

Third, retire. At 27.

Fourth, cancel my phone numbers.

While people say that - and obviously it happens. I can't imagine anyone coming to me for money. I really can't. I think I've ignored or been too antisocial to develop fringe friends or acquaintances. Haha.

I have a friend that's a gazillionaire. Part gazelle part millionaire. I don't think they've got that many people harassing them. Although the money has always been there... So maybe that makes a different.

I like the idea of the poster before who suggested seeking loans from people prior.

Good call one this.

I don't understand why some people feel they somehow deserve money from someone who wins the lottery. I can't see myself ever asking a friend for a handout like that. I don't think I'd even ask my parents for anything.

I'd hire someone who would let me punch them in the face everytime I wanted to punch someone in the face.

I'd hire an incredibly hot administrative assistant and make her change her name to Pepper Pots.

Oh and I'd buy a tank.

- bankroll another Chubby Internet Nerds movie starring KG, with extra Bacon Jr. Cheeseburgers
- Buy proto's damn poker table
- Buy a tank for CC
- Buy 4x4 a Mazda Miata
- Buy Jordon some coolers
- Buy jolinar some new extension cords

- give 5 mil to my parents, 2 mil to my god-parents, and a mil to my brother
- stash away 5 mil in a secret savings account for emergencies
- buy a house
- do a little bit of travelling
- buy a new rig
- donate 5 mil so various charities, research, etc

- invest the remaining 35 million

I'd probably also switch majors at school to history and become a teacher like I initially planned

It's true. We have winners tell us this a lot.. Charities, friends, family you never knew you had, you'll get endlessly harassed. Even if you're antisocial, people will hear you have money and suddenly remember that you exist and chummy up to you. People have no shame.

I'd disappear for at least a year.

I think I would rent out Flames central for CP, and have a big shaker for 600 of my closest friends....

I`d finally purchase that super huge condom size that I could never seem to afford.

I would rent one of those luxurious jets and travel the world with my family. After that, go on a cruise with all my family and friends and have all the nicest suites. Then play at all the nicest golf courses I can. I really want to play Pebble Beach and TPC Sawgrass and then the rest are up for grabs.

After that, I would probably play more golf, build a nice house... have a hockey rink. Invest a heft chunk into a hockey team (preferably the Flames) and hopefully one day make myself the president and GM. Sign myself to a modest $6 million dollar deal for 10 years and I'll be set for life.

Then a year into your tenure the entire Flames fan community would turn on you and demand your termination . . . with extreme prejudice.

It almost seems people have the impression that the guy who makes his millions over a lifetime working is some kind of hard ass businessman, and the guy who wins the lottery somehow needs a new financial advisor, and will also listen to every hairbrained scheme on the planet to grow their money. This is probably what Habernac is referring to; people coming out of the woodwork looking for a "loan" from their newly rich uncle.

I watched a documentary on people in the US that won the big powerball lotteries, and sadly that was usually the case. They take the lump sum settlement, then get involved in all kinds of crazy investments that make no sense whatsoever, and end up losing LOADS of cash. Some guy spent millions buying up a tipi campground that went under in the 70's, renovated everything, and basically sat there waiting for people to stay in them (they never came). I mean COME ON. Tipi campground? For millions? The owners selling the place just hit the lottery when this guy came along, not the guy buying it.
