In typical A's fashion they didn't take advantage of Romero when he was struggling early on. Hopefully Duke isn't out for a long period of time. What a time for Buck to have his best night ever at the plate. Stupid Buck!

Yeah no question. Too bad, he was a great pitcher on a bad team. Its too bad he was forced into being the ace of the staff for a few years.

Three run homer by A-gon. Morrow looks sharp. 4 strikeouts in 2 innings so far. Jays leading 3-1.

I hate when the A's lose to the Jays but the reality is the A's were playing way over the heads up until this past week. Not to mention the Jays were struggling coming into the series and they were bound to break out offensively. I would also like to know what happened to Gonzo over the winter. The A's have used the DL 10 times already this season, the Jays are 2nd with 8 times. In the long run, that will kill young teams who have little depth.

I thought it was fitting that Eveland lost to his former team. The jays did make a late rally. I think FLew shoulda held up at second. That might have given Hill the last out in the game instead of that blind lost man that has absconded with Jose Bautista's batting approaches.
Re: prospects...it looks like the 3 we got for roy are playing solid. Jp's talent harvest is really thin outside lind, hill, arrencibia, cecil, tricky ricky and rczep. The upcoming draft is going to be huge for the jays' org, IMo and AA looks to be astute so I'm less emotionally invested into this season and looking towards tomorrow.

Jays off to a fine start today - up 4-0 now after Gonzalez hit (another!) Home Run! 8 of them on the year and 21 RBIs. What a start to the year for him!
Wells and Hill both drove the ball really hard for doubles to drive in a run each ... and of course, Overbay grounds out to 2nd.
They had a discussion about him on Connected before the game, basically saying that the Jays have no choice but to continue throwing him out there.

6-0 now with the Jays coming up for the 3rd. MacDonald hit an RBI triple in the previous inning. Marcum is looking really good to this point.

Marcum got his first W yesterday which is good to see.
Jays at .500 after 26 games. Not too bad.

This Blue Jays' staff is going to be something in a few years and if it stays intact.

Cecil looked awesome. Assuming everyone stays healthy:
Marcum
Romero
Drabek
McGowan
Rzepczynski
Cecil
Litsch
Looks quite solid to me.

The Jays are potentially one to two years away from having one of the top rotations in baseball. The future is extremely bright for the starters.

Yeah, it is definitely a special time for the organization with respect to young arms.

If only we had Mike Sirotka still...
In other news, read somewhere that the organization has been hinting that Brett Wallace could be up with the big club within a month or two. Forgive me, as I forget where I seen in, maybe it was Rotowire or another fantasy league tidbit. Wallace has been raking so far in AAA.

I heard that Brett Wallace will not be called up until the trade dead-line passes. It has more to do with years of service etc....
