CP Jihad. Vote for my daughter to win Vibe 98.5 Cutest Kid Contest
Hello all,
I've seen CP come through in the past and I know we can do it again.
Please visit the link below to vote for my daughter, Mackenzie, to win Vibe 98.5 Cutest Kid contest. She's a beautiful little girl with a smile that can light up a room (or make daddy pretty much do anything for her).
Thanks for the support.

Why do people do this crap to their kids? What a stupid contest.

Vanity.

Because it's a natural trait for people to consider their offspring to be cute?

Well yes, I can understand that. But why do you need the whole world to validate that your kid is cute? To me it seems like cheap thrills on the expense of your children. How about when your kid loses? Do you feel like you have an ugly kid now? Do you tell your child a few years down the road that they were entered in a cutest kid contest and lost?

Beats me, I don't have kids. And maybe it's not about validating as much as sharing? I'm grasping at straws.

I hope so. The world can always use more strippers.

Especially ones that barely finished in second place in a contest like this. I bet you they would turn out to be pretty decent looking 18 year olds in a few years.

Sorry. Had no idea there was already a thread dedicated to this contest. However, in my defence, it was my wife's idea to enter our daughter in this contest.
And in regards to the vanity comments, it isn't like I'm prancing my daughter around on a stage wearing a fur coat. There are a few candid photos displaying her outgoing personality. I'm very proud of my daughter and believe she is beautiful. I don't need the reassurance of CP to make me feel like a proud parent, I live it everyday.

Is it just me or is it a bit creepy to be looking at pictures of 2 year olds and trying to vote for the best looking one?

Not to mention once pictures are posted on the internet you've lost control of them forever.
