Why would they need a nuke for Seoul. The North Korean's have enough artillary within range to turn that city into a flatland in about 3 minutes
In fact if I recall right they have 8000 varied long range artillary pieces within range of Seoul.

Yah, it's kind of funny because it's the "R" that Asians find hard to pronounce, not the "L".

I can't recall much in the way of naval engagements, but I know I'm wrong on that.
But its likely that NK was playing their typical game, maybe laying a minefield using a sub and the SK boat blundered on it.
The HK hit the mine (sounds like a small one), someone took a shot at the sub.
