Precisely, I am the out of touch dumb old fart, probably in your parents' age group. Just remember that next time your allowance runs out and you need those old dummies to bail you out so you pay for your overdue twitter account.

I can't stand idly by while Huey Lewis and The News gets lumped in with the rest of that junk. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip to be Square", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself.

You must be psychotic to think that.

That shows like Leno and American Idol get such high ratings on network TV makes me so grateful for HBO/Showtime/AMC.
When I think Huey Lewis I think Delorean, Doc Brown and 1980s Michael J Fox. To be honest with you I love his music, I do. I'm a Huey Lewis fan. For my money I don't know if it gets any better than when he sings When a Man Loves a Women, errr "Back in Time".

Ticketmaster confirmed to TMZ they are in fact selling tickets to a Conan O'Brien stage show that goes down April 30. It's unclear what Conan will be doing exactly ... but tickets go on sale Monday March 8 at 10:00 MST.
Andy Richter's co-hosting of Regis & Kelly this morning may be the closest we'll get for a while about getting a point of view from Conan's side of things:

I’m not sure if we’ll see the fast national numbers for adults 18-49 later, but the local People meters were so close (see second blurb) that it’s possible that Letterman could win that demo once a broader section of the population is counted in (update: indeed that was the case, Letterman bested Leno w/adults 18-49 and 25-54). Especially with NBC performing much worse in prime time than last Monday night, the gap narrowing is no surprise. But with adults 18-49, it might have gone away completely!
“The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” (3.5/9 in metered-market households) led the time period over CBS’s “Late Show with David Letterman” (3.2/8) and ABC’s “Nightline (3.1/8) and “Jimmy Kimmel Live” (1.5/5) in Nielsen’s 56 metered markets.
In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” (1.2/5) ranked #1 among the major networks in the time period over “Late Show” (1.1/5), “Nightline” (1.1/4) and “Jimmy Kimmel Live” (0.6/3).
