Default A taste of the party

This is what Vancouver is like every night during these games. Joyous party. That light show happens every hour or so I believe. Just an awesome atmosphere.

Looks like a prelude to a nasty, violent riot.

Whoa - rough day or what? It's in the Olympic forum, totally relevant.

Looks like a great time, i really enjoy city wide parties, like playoff runs, stampedede etc...having lived in Vancouver through all the construction, part of me wishes i could of found some time to go out there during the games.....I was too young to experience Calgary like that '88 and prob be too old the next time the games come around to Canada, so it really is a once and a lifetime opportunity..i think has a young adult is the best age to experience an event like this, I know so many people from Calgary who have hoped on buses, did the winter drive, just for the experience...maybe next weekend...i can get out there and drink my face off and plough chicks

For what it's worth - I did it last weekend, only from Kelowna so a shorter haul but I didn't get home until 3am sunday night/monday morning and was beat for a day or two - still totally worth it for us. I hope I can go back for the party on the final weekend if Canada makes the gold medal game.

Is it better or worse than the Canucks' Stanley Cup parade?

I came down for this weekend and holy I've never seen anything like this. For anyone thinking about heading down, you should definalty do it. Robson and Granville street are just nuts. The streets are a big party 24/7 and everyone is friendly and partying together. It's a great atmosphere and makes me proud to be Candian. I recomend anyone takign the drive, it's like nothing youll ever experience
