Default Barricade collapse injures over a dozen

Just saw this on the news apparently a Barricade Collapsed at a Alexis on Fire Olympic concert and 13 people were injured. Enough is enough already.

enough of what?

people pushing up against a barricade?

just read the linked article, it pretty much sounds like it was the crowds fault as the article says "A free concert by Alexisonfire was cancelled Tuesday night after the crowd surged forward and caused the barricades near the stage to collapse"

so what is this enough of?

I think the real story is that 13 people were at a Alexis on Fire concert.

I've never listened to their stuff but aren't they a pretty popular band? I wonder what happened.

I remember reading something about a band in BC and the floor collapsing and a girl was paralyzed from that. Looks from reports nothing close to as serious as that

Don't you know? The cool thing to do right now is slag the Vancouver Winter Olympics. Just jump on board.

Vancouver's making a pretty easy job of it.

Calgary's inferiority complex is hilarious.

You can't control the weather but you can build a better barricade.

This has nothing to do with Vancouver, in the sense that they didn't build the barricade.

This is done by the company LiveNation and this is the setup they have used for all of their events in the past.

I was there tonight.

There were a lot of people there, but nothing out of the ordinary for a rock concert. The barracade they used was obviously too weak or not assembled properly.

It happened about 30 seconds into their first song. The band immediately stopped playing and asked everyone to move back a few steps to give access to security and medical personnel.

They are going to review everything overnight and see what happened. Investigation is important as there are many other bands which are supposed to play there during the games.

The second coolest thing to do is to be a Vancouver fan whining about how poor little Vancouver is mistreated on a Calgary forum. Mad Mel is right about the inferiority complex, but he's definitely got the wrong city.

You guys are so insecure that you are simply assuming "enough is enough" means "Holy crap, look at how incompetent Vancouver is!", and therefore MUST argue to the end of your days how "great" Vancouver is.

It's pretty clear that any time some little thing happens to a rival city, half of the board jumps at the opportunity to attempt to trash Vancouver or Edmonton.

But whatever excuses you to express your internet nerd rage about an entire city and things generally out of their hands or not their fault.
