What this I hear about overheating video cards?

My ol' trusty 256mb GeForce 8600GT is having no problems whatsoever with this game.

The game was rendering frame rates like it was 3dmark; my 280 gtx was rendering at over 120 fps. Apparently this is a problem with older Nvidia video Drivers (I was running a older version for stability in another game) along with a even more annoying bug, for me at least of having to reset my box after playing to get my card to down clock. I eventually broke down and installed the latest driver. Works fine now *knocks on wood*

I am very impressed that they released their borg content patch early.

At first they planned to release it 45 days after ie. force peopel to pay for the 1st month AND the 2nd month to enjoy, but they've realized what a wasteland this game is right now at high level.

Kudos. I'm sure that they will retain more subs than if they went with their original plan. However, since it's 30 days early, any experiences with it as to its bugginess and how it got rushed?

Bought the game and made it up to Lt. 8 so far, I enjoy the away team missions far greater then the actual space combat.

Only thing I hate so far is the travel time, I wish you could speed up your vessel and not take 5 minuets to go to one sector to another.

Yeah, Sector Space is just setup as a giant timesink. That's one of the main reasons I stopped right after beta. Too horrible.

I dont mind it. You travel at an increased warp speed as you get more skill points. I just use the time to level my characters and decide on what I am doing next. The transwarp to starbase is awesome, and they set things up so that sirius sector space is close to all the main areas of the game. Some people wanted it to be even longer to be more realistic.

I have never played other mmos, but I am sure a lot of others dont let you auto-navigate while you do other stuff... like imagining your chief medical officer hit on your captain during his routine physical. Wait... what?

There should be more transwarp options, probably one to the middle of each quadrant (not the actualy Star Trek quadrants) of the galaxy map
