I've only been to two real concerts, and one was free so it doesn't really count. I seen default a K days 2 years ago and Green Day last May. Green Day is my fav group and man can they put on a show.

I don't like concerts, mainly because the first one was a forced Jan Arden concert, she was practicing at COP, and since then I've never felt the need to go to another one again.

it's the morning after the concert and am I ever fating tired..when the Stones come to Calgary later on in the year you NEED to see em..the stage and light show was totally amazing and the crowd was extremely loud...hopefully this gives easterners a bit more credit and we get some bigger concerts and things of that sort

never got to see soundgarden, and am very passy aboot it.
ozzfest '99 was pretty epic, especially as vancouver doesn't even wake up off its parent's couch in the basement for that first bong hit in the morning until 11 AM.

doors opened at 9, and i got to watch Drain and Fear Factory with bar-size crowds, wow.

system of a down was pretty awesome, even though back then their music was 100% political.

there were the stinkers of course, slipknot was so terrible that half the crowd left their show for the other stage, i have never seen that before. man did they suck.

other concerts of note i've seen were primus at pacific coliseum, and i mother earth at spartacus.

Yeah, thats what I'm hoping for! A buddy of mine went to a Pearl Jam concert in Seattle in 00, and they didn't say who the opening act was. Not knowing what to expect the Red Hot Chilli Peppers took to the stage to everyone's surprise as the opening act for PJ. He said it was pretty awesome. We won't get anything like that in Calgary, but PJ by themselves should be great.

PJ are amazing live. Seeing them in Van on the Riot Act tour ranks as my #2 concert. Can't wait for 2nite.
#1- Radiohead and REM 2 day show in Van at Thunderbird. When Thom Yorke came out and sang with REM I couldn't believe it. Michael Stipe coming out the next night and singing with Radiohead finished what was the most amazing concert experience of my life. Having openers like Wilco, Dandy Worhols and Stephen Malkmus was nice too.
