That said, I don't agree with his belief, either. I think mentally-handicapped people, or anybody for that matter, should be able to re-produce until the cows come home, if they choose to. It's their choice.

It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth (or in this case, start typing) and to remove all doubt.

I commend original and unique thought. This isn't an issue of following the sheeple, it's idiocy.

Sure, so do I. However, saying it is 'idiocy' is your interpretation of it. That's not what I'm referring to, however... his opinion is controversial, and not shared by the majority of other posters, but he's not afraid to post it. That's what I'm referring to. The fact that you think it's idiocy isn't really the point.

Thats my stance on the issue.

You outlaw having sex when your HIV positive without proper consent by the partner.

Is too unfair to outlaw having kids when there is a very good chance that they will have a crippling life degrading condition?

Both are basic human rights. Both play a huge role in a person life. Both are not guaranteed to be passed on.

Sorry if this offends anyone but that is my stance.

Let me give you a piece of advice as a long time poster here. If you have a free thinking opinion on something that can be considered controversial then don't bother posting it because you will be blasted by the close minded holier then thou popular members here. I know what your saying and I could not agree more. We have a population problem and more and more smart people are choosing not to reproduce because nobody in power is doing anything about the issue. The problem with that is the dumb people are still reproducing like crazy and what inevitably will happen is an overpopulation of mentally challenged/lower intelligence people. Anyhow, don't take these guys comments to heart, once one long time poster on here bashes you the other sheep on here follow because its the "cool" thing to do rather then form their own opinion or even be honest about how they actually feel. Kudo's to you for being a thinker instead of a follower. Now said sheep will rip into me. |

You believe the world is going to become over-run by "mentally challenged/lower intelligence" people?

All of you (except DJ Pat) are hypocrites! IF you could travel back in time with a can of Mountain Dew, you would sterilize the parents of Hitler.

I don't think the world will exist long enough for that to even be a possibility. Man will destroy the planet well before that, probably within the next hundred years.

In a town I used to live in, there was a mentally handicapped couple that bred like rabbits, but they couldn't look after the kids because of their disabilities. Why should tax payers pay for that? I think they had 4 kids the last time I heard... probably more now.
