Were Mac-T and K-Lowe driving while the zamboni was jumpin'?

Indeed. If it's for the commercial fine, it's kind of funny but wow if they actually use that thing.

Are we talking about the FANBONI??
Quote:
The result is the Edmonton Oilers Fanboni, a completely overhauled Zamboni that features seating for 8, a plasma screen television, a Playstation 2 with 8 game controllers, a monster stereo system, and more whistles than the entire NHL referee corps. It’s also ready to take to the streets of Edmonton and area.

haven't seen it although it can't be as bad as having someone moron dressing up as Harvey the Hound...best part about that commercial was him checking to see if he still has that tongue

It is indeed the Fanboni. It'd be hilarious if a real zamboni was pimped out, but the one in the commersial is just for the kids.

What a joke that franchise is becoming. Litterally, they are becoming like a Saturday Night Live skit.

Sports Mascots have been legitimized in the modern era.
The Fanboni is worse than having a mascot.

I think the Fanboni *sigh* is just a marketing thing for young kids.
At the Champ car races, they had a Oilers booth set up, and had the Fanboni there. I didnt look close, but I thought it was some sort of video game booth, or entertainment hub for kids. I definately dont think it was a functioning Zamboni.

It's not that bad. Something different to expose hockey at different events. I am not against this, kind of wondering about the cost though. Havent their owners been whining about cash and then they go and spend some on this marketing toy.

You're attacking a mascot?
This has gotten a little sad hasn't it? All you have to do is attend one hockey game with a little guy to see the value in a stuffed dog running around.
What ... are you dead inside?

The Saddledump is literally the only arena where I hear fans clapping along with "Dueling Banjos". You guys sure Deliverance wasn't filmed there? Would make perfect sense.

Larf. I love these "you guys are a bunch of hicks" comments coming from Edmonton.
Newsflash -- if we are in the boonies, you guys are in the backwoods. Gateway to the North indeed.

A question for Mr.Ciampa, how does it come along that a flames fan becomes an employee of the Oilers? just wondering how that one happened.
