So it looks like Conan is leaving and Leno is staying... what does NBC plan to do when Leno is ready to leave? Are they going to call Fallon up to replace him on The Tonight Show? Someone isn't thinking long term here. They should have gotten rid of Leno and stuck with Conan... would have given them at least 12 more years of funny they won't have with this plan.
Who the hell is running ths show? Lowe?

the problem is that they don' care about the funny, they only care about the ratings. And Conan's are a lot lower than Leno's were and probly will be.
Although they are definitely not thinking about the future. Unless they think Leno goes another 10 years and they find someone in that time frame to replace him

Carsen Daly!!! Woooooooo! j/k
They could go right off the charts and find someone completely new. Could you imagine someone like Ricky Gervais doing it? I'm not sure if he would, but I bet he would be awesome at it. Outside the box is probably the way to go...
Jimmy Fallon in actually more tolerable now than he was before. When he started, I couldn't stand him.. but now I can tolerate him.

Yeah this really sucks. I was just getting into the Conan groove after never really watching him prior to the Tonight Show. I will never tune into Leno after this...never really did before as I don't find him funny, but this leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'll watch Conan wherever he goes.

Well I guess I'm going to have to record Leno now.
Edit- I'd also like to add that the solidarity being shown to Conan is amazing. It's seemingly unanimous amongst the late show crowd that Conan is getting a raw deal here. Was/is Leno really that unpopular amongst his peers?

He's at the top of his game because of this, it will be really interesting to see how his support movement grows and the backlash against NBC and Leno.
