How did kiffin "not hang" with the SEC?
Its not like he was fired for non-performance or even quit for a reason beyond taking abetter job.
Im no fan of his at all...but I dont see where he can be blasted for performance or taking the USC gig.

The latest rumor I've heard (on ESPN and on other websites) is that Tennessee is going to hire Will Muschamp, DC from Texas.
I really didn't think he'd go anywhere since he is the "coach in waiting" with the Longhorns, but who knows?

I'm glad USC didn't go after Del Rio or another NFL coach. Kiffen ruffles feathers and doesn't appear to be as smooth as Carrol was, but he's bringing a pretty stellar group of coaches and recruiters to USC. Regardless of the NCAA or self-imposed sanctions, USC is still located in LA, it now has one of the best recruiters in the country and it's still one of the few schools (and the only one on the west coast) that is a main artery to the NFL.
Vols fans can be upset and everything, but NCAA football (and basketball) are about as brutal when it comes to coaching movement as you can get. Very very few programs are immune from losing their headcoach to a "better program."

After all the junk he talked, 7-6 (not really beating anyone worth mentioning) is definitely not hanging with the big boys. The guy is a lying scumbag, and I hope USC tanks for as long as they have him.
Not overly surprised to see the worst school in the country for recruiting violations hire the worst coach in the country for recruiting violations.

How is he a liar?
And considering the lack of talent on the team that was left to him he did pretty well to get to 7-6.

Considering the talent they have, the talent they will bring in and the quality of the coaching staff that is fairly unlikely.

Which recruiting violations?
The secondary violations that Kiffin got and every coach does now makes him the worst coach for violations?

I think he did quite well with a 7-6 record...those werent his recruits he went to bat with for the most part.
And how the hell is USC "the worst school in the country for recruiting violations"?
Really bitter sounding post...what did he do to you?

Fair enough, but six seasons and a national championship is a whole heck of a lot different than one 7-6 season, talking a bunch of trash to other schools and then leaving before you have to back anything up.

SoCal will be fine...i fully expect they will feel some sanctions in a month, and rightfully so, but they are still an elite football school. Not sure where a ponzi scheme comes into all this...unless Kiffin is paying someone some money from someone else...which makes no sense in this scenario.

Because this loser and he is a loser hasn't won anything at any school or pro but some how gets handed a great job. USC is about to get the hammer thrown down on them with another guy who has stacked up 6 recruiting violations while at UT for the year.
Sure USCw is a great football program but even ole pete couldn't stop losing or getting hammered by two "lesser" teams this year.
I cant believe people will back this guy with his childish antics he pulls. He has no respect for anyone just look at his awesome comments after every "moral victory" AKA loss this year. This guy is a complete tool but it will only make me feel better when he fails once again at USCw.
But I guess you can back him up because you're a USCw nutswinger and basically you have to. Not only was USCw shot down by better coaches but they go after lame? HAHAHAAHAHAHAHA good luck. welcome back to the 90's

He couldn't hang and he was another pre january bowl game from being fired. his recruits were nothing special and UT was bound to finish below .500 this year. after that he would of been fired.

It is still questionable whether the football team is even going to be punished and unlikely that they will get "the hammer" thrown down on them.

Every team, even the "mighty" Gators have bad seasons. In what was a terrible year for USC they still were ranked in the top 25.

His recruits were nothing special? His first class was ranked in the top 15-20 and his class this year was in the top 10 and top 5 for some folks.

Moon its UT. They will bring in good talent on name alone. Fat Phil was bringing in 15-20 ranked classes too.

So now you are saying the recruits he brought in were good?
If you think he isn't a good recruiter himself look at the talent USC brought in when his was the recruiting co-ordinator or listen to recruits talk about him.
I understand that people want to make stuff up about him but at least the dick and cheater comments have some sort of truth to them (not much but some).
Kiffin's ability to recruit has been proven over a number of years.

It's UT. they will always bring in a 5* player and a couple 4* PLAYERS .
But big name programs tend to do that. If he was such a great recruiter he would do that at minnasota or iowa or even mizzou. It's tennesse most of those hillbillies grow up wanting to go play for the vols.
I think this a joke. USCw has enough problems on their hands let alone with this ass hat.
But lets see his best recruit stay out of prison... Oh wait Nuke pleaded guilty to armed robbery and thats the same player he "accused" meyer of cheating trying to get.
Not only that but his right hand man orgeron (sp) talking to EE players while lane is talking to players and telling them not to go to class and come to USCw. But he didn't know that those EE players had the phone on speaker phone while little bitch was up trying to explain himself.
thats a huge violation and slimy to boot....
Its sad when that kook al davis says hes a liar and is right LMAO at USCw.

But he isn't going to minnesota or Iowa, he is going to USC where he will continue to get those big recruits.
Explain to me again why his ability to get great recruits at a big school is a bad thing?

USC will be fine, especially with a great young coach and top staff in the nation.

Well then good got Meyer that his cheating didn't work.

PIM...any chance you could take a little more time with your posts and use some punctuation and less abbreviations? Seriously. I'm not trying to be a jerk but I can't understand about 80% of what you post.

Also, Tennessee would be dumb to hire Muschamp, because if UT wants him back in 3-4 yrs when Mack retires than adios Tennessee.
